Repubblica: AC Milan join Liverpool in race for £87m Bundesliga star

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are in search for a new striker ahead of the upcoming season, as both Kalinic and Andre Silva are expected to leave the San Siro side this summer.

According to La Repubblica, the Rossoneri have set their sights on Leipzig’s star striker Timo Werner, who bagged 21 goals for his side this season.

The 22-year-old has also been heavily linked with Liverpool, as their manager Klopps likes the player and reportedly is ‘serious’ about his attempt to sign the striker, preparing a £87m bid.

However, Werner himself has denied any plans about leaving his club this summer, by stating that: “Next year, definitely, I will stay in Leipzig.”

AC Milan are also interested in the likes of Morata, Immobile and Belotti as they plan to bring in a 20-goal striker for head coach Gennaro Gattuso.
