AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is reportedly close to returning to training following injury.
After over six months on the sideline, Montolivo is finally nearing a return to the squad fully fit.
The Italian was injured back in October playing for his country, and his worst fears were revealed as it was announced that he had torn his ACL. Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport he will be back in contention for Vincenzo Montella’s selection.
It is not clear how far off the midfielder is from a full return, but it will be certain that Montella will be cautious in dating his return following such a serious injury.
The club captain’s return will be welcomed with open arms after a difficult 6 months battling towards fitness.
