Schalke defender set to become AC Milan’s first summer signing

By Nikita Fesyukov -

With the club sale closing set to be completed tomorrow, the new Milan management, led by Marco Fassone, is already on the look for players to strengthen Vincenzo Montella’s team for next season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac will be Milan’s first signing after the closing is completed.

Kolasinac’s contract with Schalke expires this summer, which means he can freely negotiate with any other club at the moment. Future Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has seemingly taken advantage of it and yesterday met an intermediary of the deal.

It is reported that a four-year contract with an annual salary of €2.5 million was agreed with the Bosnian international. The operation should be finalized after the closing of the club sale.
