Sky: AC Milan make new offer for Conti; deal almost complete

By Oliver Fisher -

Andrea Conti is reportedly edging closer to finally securing his move to AC Milan from Atalanta, according to reports.

The right-back is currently playing for Italy U21s in the European Championships, something which may be preventing a swift solution.

However, Conti has made it very clear through his agent that he only wants to join Milan and will reject any other team.

Initally, AC Milan made a €20million offer to their Lombardia rivals which was rejected and believed to be around €10m short of Atalanta’s €30m valuation of the player.

How however, reports from Sky Italia and Sportitalia suggest that the two parties are getting close to striking a potential deal. They report that Atalanta are now prepared to accept €25m or €23m plus two young players on loan.

SkyMilan will raise their offer for Conti from €20M to €23-24M today. The meeting between Conti’s agent and Atalanta was positive.
