Sky: Milan directors in Rome to meet Lazio for Biglia

By Oliver Fisher -

There is never a dull moment in AC Milan’s mercato rumours any more, and now the Rossoneri have been linked with another Lazio man.

Recent reports suggested that the new Milan leadership have prioritised Keita Balde for the wing, with the club waiting to pounce on the contract situation surrounding the Senegal star.

Now, Sky are reporting that Milan directors Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli are expected to head to Rome on Monday, with Lucas Biglia being the potential target.

The 31-year-old has been impressive for the capital club over the past three seasons, earning links with European giants like Manchester United.

Il Messegaro reported on May 18 that talks between Biglia and Lazio over a new deal had concluded positively.

They stated that “in the coming hours” the Argentina would sign an extension of five years (until 2021) at €2.8million per season in what they described as “a contract for life”.

No confirmation came however, meaning the Milan directors have moved in to potentially pounce on yet another contract situation surrounding Lazio.
