AC Milan enquired about the signing of a Lecce defender during the January transfer window but saw their attempts rebuffed, according to a report.
TMW have published an article about Patrick Dorgu who is the latest revelation for Pantaleo Corvino, Lecce’s sporting director who continues to showcase his knack for finding unknown gems.
The Danish full-back was signed Nordsjaelland for just €200k. Lecce let him play, grow and win the league title with the Primavera and from this season he was promoted to the first team.
He has 21 appearances for Lecce this season and he scored in their win over Fiorentina on Friday. At 19 years of age, Dorgu is one of the most followed and sought after young talents in Serie A.
Between December and the beginning of January, Milan tested the waters to try to understand his costs and feasibility.
The Rossoneri were looking for a left back to deputise for Theo Hernandez, but immediately after the enquiry Corvino’s clear answer arrived: he will not be leaving midway through the season.
The teenager has also made his way up the national team ranks, debuting for the U18s in 2022 before making the step up to the U21s last year.

We have seen absolutely nothing from Bartesaghi besides media hype. Plus he isn’t a LB, he is more of a left CB similar to Bastoni.
Jimenez is a right back who can play on the left and his future is in Real Madrid’s hands.
People were saying Milan didn’t need Jovic and Colombo was better. How is that going? Colombo isn’t even playing for Monza anymore, while Jovic is Milan 2nd highest scorer in all competitions even though he plays 30-40 minutes a game on average.
who knows how Colombo would do had he stayed…
If you believe in him go ahead and get him we need replacements on LB CB CDM or CM CAM and very good ST so just sign players in these positions and because I can’t reach moncada just find players and sign them we need these positions ASAP . But my opinion is they have to be on the same or closer to our first 11 quality and maybe in time better than our first 11 so they can feel pressure to play better so the team plays better overall
A great prospect at leftback, very attack minded, skillful and fast. But milan should only sign him if theo is leaving. Dorgu needs to play regularly to develop his talent.
