Tuttosport: Milan likely to enter market for a goalkeeper if Reina to Valencia goes through

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could well dip into the market to secure a new back-up goalkeeper this summer as the future of a duo is uncertain, a report claims.

As it stands, the Rossoneri have four goalkeepers on their books for the senior side: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Antonio Donnarumma, Pepe Reina and Alessandro Plizzari.

Multiple reports have suggested the latter is set to depart and join Reggina in Serie B on loan, while the Donnarumma brothers are likely to remain with a new contract currently being discussed for Gigio.

According to Tuttosport on Thursday (via MilanNews), Pepe Reina is wanted by Valencia and should his sale go through, Milan are likely look for a new goalkeeper on the transfer market who will be the deputy to Donnarumma.

The paper adds though that it cannot be excluded that the management try to sign Asmir Begovic on a permanent basis from Bournemouth after the Bosnia international spent the second half of the 2019-20 season at San Siro.
