Eintracht Frankfurt director Fredi Bobic has denied reports suggesting that Ante Rebic is set to return to the club and terminate his loan at AC Milan.
The Croatia international joined the Rossoneri on deadline day in the summer on a two-year loan deal, with striker Andre Silva moving the other way on the same terms.
However, Rebic has 0 goals and just 177 minutes played since his arrival, leading to suggestions that he could depart San Siro after just five months.
We revealed on December 13 that Rebic had talks with Eintracht earlier in December through his entourage to gauge the possibility of an early return, and he was photographed dining with his former team-mates as well.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com reported on Saturday that his entourage are at work to bring him back to Germany, with an agreement just ‘details away’.
However, in a shock twist, Eintracht director Fredi Bobic has poured cold waters on the rumours of a return, telling Kicker: “There’s nothing in it.”
Fredi Bobic has responded to rumours suggesting the loan of Ante Rebic (AC Milan) will be cut short & that he'll rejoin Eintracht Frankfurt: "There’s nothing in it." (Kicker) https://t.co/iQDCH3dro7
