CM: Milan identify USA international as ideal Rodriguez replacement – Wigan’s demands

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are considering a move for Wigan Athletic defender Antonee Robinson late in the transfer window, a report claims.

Sky Italia though are reporting that the Turkish Federation have now given their ‘ok’ for Fenerbahce to finally complete the purchase of Rodriguez.

Milan are now believed to be awaiting an official bid from the Istanbul club for the Swiss left-back so the deal can go through as planned, meaning they are looking for his replacement.

According to Calciomercato.com, Wigan’s Antonee Robinson’s is the primary candidate at the moment as Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban have elected to try and sign a young deputy to Theo Hernandez.

However, the first request of the Championship club is €15million including bonuses for the USA international – a figure deemed too high by Milan who are working to try to get a significant discount.

The Sun meanwhile are reporting that Milan are ready to make their move for Robinson, with a £10m (€12m) bid being readied.
