AC Milan have registered an interest in signing Harry Maguire from Manchester United along with their two biggest rivals, a report claims.
According to 90min, United are happy to let Maguire go once the season is complete as Erik ten Hag wants to continue overhauling the squad. There will be attempts to reduce the wage bill and ‘allow budget flexibility’, meaning the centre-back is free to leave.
While the Red Devils would love a permanent deal, his £190k-a-week salary (€215k-a-week) makes that idea tough. However, Juventus, Milan and Inter are ‘all interested in potential loan deals with options to buy’.
Given that they need outgoings in order to operate with Financial Fair Play limitations, they might need to be flexible. In addition to that, Maguire’s entourage are understood to believe Serie A ‘could be an ideal landing spot’ for the player if he is to leave Old Trafford.
How much are they paying us to take him?
This article is the best part of this month,
Any time Manchester United plays him the game is 10vs12!
This must be a joke. Toughest opponent of De Gea to become the toughest opponent of Mike?
De Gea is starting to become his own toughest opponent 😀
Statistic point that De Gea commit more mistakes leading to goal when playing with Maguire. It means Maguire is unable to provide good passing option.
maybe so but first of all it was a jibe at his mistakes against sevilla and regardless of maguire he does make more mistakes himself than previously,. Certainly no excuses for his match on thursday and ive seen other matches as well this season and its not only maguires fault.
Its not april 1rst anylonger and besides of that he earns around 10 mil a year and doesnt really offer enough to even get paid half of that.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
also 😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahahaha
One of the most hilarious articles I read. My day was going bad until this
to be honest, I didn’t even read this article, but went straight to the comments column. Just to LOL
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
exactly the same lol
I’d hire Maguire in a heartbeat… to make the sandwiches at half time.
Kit man?
Our players won’t have jersey for the 2nd half then.
he’d still find a way to score own goals
🤮🤮
Omg he is ticking time bomb he will explode any time in the match…..if he plays for us I am sure our opponents don’t need forward because our good old Harry will score for them….God save magic Mike if this becomes reality lol
jajajaja jajajaja jajajaja felicidades es una muy buena broma, imagínate que cometa algún error como los que acostumbra e Ibrah lo “regañe”…
Late april fools lmao 🤣🤣🤣
If this happens,
San Siro will go from singing
Pioli’s on fire, to
Harry Maguire,
your defense is terrifying.
It wouldn’t surprise me if we signed him and sold Gabbia for a “profit” just for the sake of the transfer market.
How many times have seen players perform badly at other clubs and being given the benefit of doubt over youth players.
How many times have youth players been sold for a profit only for the club to spend far more on endless replacements.
Gabbia has the potential to be one of our most important players. The fourth choice CB that frees us up to focus on the first three choices.
This is where youth players, even if they’re not not world beaters (and many are which is why they made it this far with one of the top teams in the world), they solve squad problems and allow us to focus on quality elsewhere.
Cutrone v Origi?
Maldini is a defender. So far I’ve liked all of his choices. I trust him to do the same in the future
Maldini is a modern football director.
He’s already been involved in more transfers than Milan were involved in the whole of the 80s and 90s combined.
According to Transfrmarket
in 18/19 28 players arrived and 26 left.
in 19/20 27 players arrived and 25 left.
in 20/21 26 players arrived and 28 left.
in 21/22 24 players arrived and 28 left.
in 22/23 26 players arrived and 29 left.
In total he has signed 131 players and sold/loaned 136.
If any business had that level of staff over there would be some serious questions raised.
But in modern football this is considered totally normal.
“Players left” sold permanent or loan?
“Players arrived ” permanent or loan?
Players, first team or youth?
Regular or development players?
Because, as far as I can recall, in the 2022/2023 season, only 7 real first team players arrived milan. CDK, Thiaw, Florenzi, Vrankcx, Messias, Dest, Origi. Origi was a free transfer, while Vrankcx was a loan transfer, and no transfer was above 7m except CDK.
As for players who left, Maldini, Colombo and Caldara left on loan, while Kessie and Romagnoli left for free, no player left close to 8m except Hauge.
Sometimes, stats don’t really represent the real situation until you understand what you’re talking about.
Your stats of 26 players leaving and 29 players arriving in 22/23 season is just another stats reading approach which will always limit your understanding to the actual fact about the situation.
Reading up stats is the easy approach, but understanding the real issues is the most difficult, but believe me, when you do, you possess that boldness because you’re speaking from a point of genuine understanding.
One of the many problems with modern football is that there are too many middle managers justifying their existence, and agents who feed off the transfer market like parasites. Plus you have the media that pushes transfers for news stories.
The result is that modern football has been completely subsumed by the transfer market. Transfers increasingly have nothing to do with actual football but in feeding the machine,
It’s a total farce.
No other sport has this level of transfers. And as a consequence no other sport destroys as many careers as football does.
The only club in Serie A that will touch him are Roma.
Roma coach know how bad McGuire is
God forbid…
