A Bola: Blow for Milan, Inter and Leipzig as target pens new deal with €45m clause

By Oliver Fisher -

Reported AC Milan target Eduardo Quaresma has agreed terms over a new deal which will see him extend his deal at Sporting CP, it is claimed.

Thursday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that many players have passed under the magnifying glass of chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and Hendrik Almstadt.

One of the most popular though is Quaresma, however for now the Portuguese side are putting up a wall to try and protect their jewel from any potential suitors.

According to the latest from A Bola though, the teenager has agreed an extension with Sporting which will see the insertion of a €45million release clause.

This is bad news of course for potential suitors – with Inter and Atletico Madrid also having been mentioned – as Quaresma will no longer be available at a possible cut-price fee.

The new deal will last until 2025 and will see him earn €250,000 a year, with RB Leipzig also mentioned as having held an interest in the report.
