A Bola: Milan place €10m bid for Sporting CP defensive starlet; Inter and Atletico also keen

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made an offer to sign Sporting CP starlet Eduardo Quaresma which has been rejected, a report in Portugal claims.

According to A Bola, Milan have had talent scouts in Portugal in the months leading up to the stop of the season, and one of the players who caught their eye is Quaresma.

In fact, he aroused such interest that the Rossoneri even submitted an offer of €10million which was rejected by Sporting as the Leões do not intend to sell their jewel.

In addition, the player has no intention of listening to foreign proposals for the moment. Quaresma wants to establish itself in Portugal before thinking of a transfer elsewhere, but the fact his contract expires in June 2021 had attracted Milan, Inter, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig.

Nonetheless, the 18-year-old will sign a renewal until June 2025 – the report adds – and though the centre-back has not yet made his debut with the first team has is knocking at the door, having amassed 23 appearances this season for the U23 side.
