Milan have reportedly completed the signing of Lucas Paqueta from Flamengo, which was confirmed even by technical director Leonardo himself today. However, the Rossoneri will not pay the full amount of €35 million at once, but in several instalments.
According to Globo Esporte reporter Cahê Mota on Twitter, Milan will pay €5 million upon Paqueta’s signature, €15 million in January 2019, €10 million in July the same year and the remaining €5 million in January 2020.

This payment system is likely a strategy to comply as best as possible with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations, as Milan are closely under the radar and are set to meet the administrative body to discuss an agreement in the coming months.
Paqueta is one of the rising stars of Brazilian football and can add tactical variety and quality to Gattuso’s squad, given the number of positions he can play in. He has scored 9 goals and assisted another 2 in 24 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A this season, adding 2 assists in the Copa Libertadores.
