A first since 1996 and kings of headers: All the key stats from Milan’s draw with Juventus

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan fought hard and came from behind to earn a draw against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium last night.

Milan entered the game battling an injury crisis with no recognised striker available except the young Pietro Pellegri and little midfield depth, but they got a draw thanks to Ante Rebic’s header 14 minutes from the end after Alvaro Morata had opened the scoring.

Below are the best stats from the game, courtesy of the club’s official website

➤ Milan have gone unbeaten in two consecutive Serie A matches against Juventus for the first time since 2012.

➤ Milan have, for the first time since February 1996 (Weah equaliser after Conte’s goal) avoided defeat away at Juventus in Serie A after trailing.

➤ No team has scored more headed goals against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium than Milan (four: Antonelli, Bonucci, Tomori and Rebić – level with Genoa).

➤ Ante Rebić is the first Milan player in the three-points-per-win era to score in three consecutive matches against Juventus.

➤ The Croatian forward’s two favourite victims in Serie A are the two Turin clubs: he has scored five against the Granata and three against the Bianconeri.
