A Spor: Besiktas emerge as potential buyer for Milan defender

By Euan Burns -

The links between Besiktas and AC Milan this summer are not going away and now the Turkish side is showing interest in Italian defender Mattia Caldara, a report claims.

As has been reported by A Spor in Turkey (via Milan News), Besiktas are interested in taking Caldara off of Milan’s hands, which is very welcome news for the club.

He has got a contract that runs until June 2024 with Milan but he has been on loan for the past three seasons at Atalanta, Venezia and Spezia.

At 29 years old, he has no future with Milan and the desire is to remove him from the wage bill and have a clean break for both player and club.

He is only valued at around €2m and the talks between Milan and Besiktas are said to have been moving in a positive direction. Besiktas have already signed Ante Rebic from Milan this summer.

  1. ACM lost money 40m euro on caldara. Better not buy defender that unfamiliar with back four again as long as coach use formation back four

  2. One of the worst businesses ever made by ACM, and also one of the best by the dirty Juve – alongside the horrifying Cannavaro/Carini swap
