A Weah will take to the field at San Siro again on Saturday night, but this time it will be Timothy Weah and he will face his father’s old club.
As Tuttosport (via MilanPress) report this morning, the game at the weekend will be a special match for the Weah family because leading the Juventus attack – barring any surprises – will be Timothy, the son of former Milan forward George Weah.
Dusan Vlahovic’s injury has heightened his sense of responsibility but Tim so far has four goals and two assists this season for the Old Lady. He also scored for the USA over the international break against Jamaica, with the assist coming from Yunus Musah.
The paper adds that the former PSG and Lille man seems to be designated to replace the injured Vlahovic at the centre of the attack for Thiago Motta’s side. He has played as a false nine before, but this is a new test.
It is a sort of handover in the most iconic place, the one that was his father’s house and could now become the son’s territory of conquest. Motta hasn’t chosen yet, but everything suggests this solution, adding another sub-plot and layer of intrigue to an already fascinating game.
