CM: Milan and Leeds United set for summer transfer battle over USA international

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain interested in Red Bull Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson but face competition from Leeds United, according to a report.

This season, the attacking midfielder has registered three goals and seven assists in 26 appearances for the Austrian side. At 21-years-old, this has resulted in several big teams keeping an eye on him.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Leeds United will make a final attempt to sign him a few hours before the end of the winter transfer market, hoping to convince Salzburg to sell the USA international.

However, the time available is running out and therefore it remains unlikely they will be able to convince them, so it could mean that a summer transfer battle is on the cards involving the Yorkshire club and the Rossoneri.

That is because Aaronson is also in the sights of Milan, who are expected to go for a new forward for the attacking trident given Brahim Diaz’s struggles.
