Abate happy with Milan Primavera’s third consecutive win: “We are improving”

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s Primavera side faced Bologna earlier today and added yet another win to their tally, scoring three goals and keeping a clean sheet. Head coach Ignazio Abate was understandably pleaded with the display.

After a rough start to the season, Abate and his men have managed to turn things around and are now four games unbeaten. In fact, today’s 3-0 win against Bologna was their third consecutive win in all competitions (see the highlights here).

Speaking to the official channels after the clash, Abate shared his thoughts on what he thought was a performance with the right attitude. However, he made it clear that they must shift focus amid the Youth League clash against Chelsea.

“We played a good match, with the right approach, we are improving and we are beginning to have more awareness of our ability. With this attitude and this spirit we can only grow, I’m happy because everyone is getting space in turn. We must continue like this and head to London, there is no time to dwell on the win,” he stated.

Abate’s men will face the London-based side on Wednesday afternoon, a few hours before the first team will play at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully, both teams will get a good result before travelling back to Milano.
