Tammy Abraham played a big part in AC Milan’s win against Como, and was happy to set up his ‘best friend’ Tijjani Reijnders for the decisive goal.
Milan fell behind against Como in the first half when Luca Da Cunha provided a lovely finish from the edge of the box after good work from Nico Paz and Assane Diao down the left side.
However, the usual saviours then came forward for the Rossoneri in the second half to manufacture yet another comeback under Sergio Conceicao. It started with Christian Pulisic’s equaliser from a Reijnders assist.
Then, the Dutchman turned provider to scorer as he latched onto Abraham’s excellent through ball and finished at the near post to make it 2-1, which it would remain.
Tammy Abraham spoke to DAZN (via MilanNews) after the full-time whistle to give his take on a game that Milan again started poorly but again emerged victorious in.
Don’t you know Italian yet?
“I can do it a little in Italian. The important thing is that we are happy, we needed this win going into the break, it can give us some confidence.”
You came on and did well…
“This is what I do! Every time I come on the pitch, I want to help the team as much as possible, with goals, assists, defending, I’m a team player. He’s one of my best friends in the team, so I’m happy.”
He still haven’t learn Italian? After all these years?
I’m surprised too. I think Tomori conducted a full Italian interview in a year after joining us 😀
Incredible. If he was some poor guy without a job I could understand. But a millionaire that can have private lessons and has the time to do it…I would be ashamed to say that after 4 years in Italy.
He is cheaper version of zirkzee but good for this team. Striker that can create chance and willing to help defending. Like he said he is team player not poacher type tap in striker
Abraham has been a part of many comebacks for us this year. He deserves to be starting over Giminez. I hope Milan resign him.
Tammy is better than Gimenez honestly
He is better than Gimenez because we use 433 lately. He is fit with this formation. He is a team player indeed, but not a goal scorer. Gimenez need a servant.
Abraham is an intelligent player , a striker is not all about scoring goals you maybe a leading goal scorer and the team losses every match what’s the gain for the team . The second set up that wasn’t scored was even sweeter than the first . Abraham had been underrated but I can tell you he’s more than some liabilities in Milan team
“Don’t you know Italian yet?” He couldn’t learn in 4 years? I wouldn’t retain him just because of that. You live in Italy for 4 years, play for an Italian club and you couldn’t bother to have weekly private lessons and actually learn. Goodbye
Abraham is a complete striker , he is taller, technically and tactically better than Gimenez, I still feel we should have gone back for Zirkzee, with the money we bought Gimenez we could have got him, Man U is in bad shape financially, and honestly if our management is smart, we need to retain Abraham , he only needs consistency and a Coach who believes in him…and for a very good price we could get him, any striker we decide to go for next season to cover Abraham’s spot, we would have to pay significantly more, for someone who might not even be as good as Abraham or the strikers we have.
Yes but incapable of learning basic Italian in 4 years. I would get him for 10-15M but I just can’t overlook that someone moves to a country and doesn’t bother to learn the language to be able to speak to the coach. This is basic common sense, Tammy Abraham doesn’t have that.
tammy and santi cannot be compared because they have different characteristic, santi needs full support and ball supply from his team mates while tammy kinda like lukaku in terms of using his body and ball hold minus the finishing
Abraham makes swift, accurate and timely passes that the late Pele referred to as; ‘ there is nothing as good as completing a good pass ‘ – meaning converting a great pass into a score. Abraham created three and one was an assist. The next one was a wonder that could have carried the season. What I mean is that the technical bench must one weakness.
