Despite scoring early doors, AC Milan could not beat Feyenoord at San Siro and have crashed out of the Champions League as a result.
Following the disappointment in Zagreb which led to this game, and then the poor display in the first leg, the Rossoneri managed to outdo themselves in the reverse fixture, leaving things in a really difficult place.
Milan started the game in the best possible way with Santiago Gimenez opening the scoring just 40 seconds into the game. The Rossoneri were then in control but failed to score a crucial second goal even though they had the chance to do so. However, familiar inefficiency up front prevented them from doing so once again.
Then, it all went crashing down in the 51st minute when Theo Hernandez stupidly got himself a red card for diving in the opponent’s penalty box.
From then onwards Conceicao made some defensive changes which limited the attacking threat Milan had to offer and despite the changes, Milan conceded in the 73rd minute. A goal that knocked them out of Europe after yet another dreadful European performance.
Here are five things to say.
1. Theo costs his team the win
The biggest culprit has to be Theo, who stupidly dived and earned himself a sending-off in a situation where he could’ve chosen so many other options.
The left-back has had a season full of ups and downs, yet he always manages to hit a new low and with that performance, he has really hit rock bottom. Given his experience and age, he should know better than that and he needs to take the responsibility.
Saying that, Hernandez has struggled for quite a while now and there’s no improvement in sight excluding the odd good moment he has.
With the Scudetto season long gone, Milan might want to explore other options and potentially part ways with the Frenchman, who has had a steady decline in terms of performances and fresh blood might be the answer if things don’t improve until the end of the season.
2. Leao failing to be the difference-maker
In addition to Theo’s poor display, Rafael Leao also had a fairly poor game on the left flank.
It might be deceitful to watch him as he actually started the game well, managing to beat his man consistently, but the reality is that after completing the dribble he lacks the efficiency and has lacked it since joining with next to zero improvement.
The painful truth is that whilst entertaining to watch, Leao’s shooting lets him down in the majority of cases, when he goes wide and tries to cross the ball, he again struggles to provide a good delivery for his teammates.
Of course, with his pace and physicality, he does rack up consistent goals and assists through the season. Nevertheless, he struggles in big games and can’t really play against low-block where he’s so predictable because he has limited space.
So, similar to Theo, if no improvement is seen it’s not far-fetched for the Diavolo to try to gain as much money as they can from a potential sale and look to invest in a more consistent player.
3. Centre-back duo continue to be stable
Amidst all the negative moments it’s fair to at least complement Strahinja Pavlovic and Malick Thiaw on their performances on the night.
The two were really solid at the back with Thiaw picking up an assist early on and Pavlovic being solid all around. Whilst you can argue that the Serb could’ve done better on the goal, it’s not going to be fair to him since the pass was very good and the situation Milan were in was not his fault.
The summer signing also showed great energy towards the end, once again, but was again let down by his teammates.
4. Conceicao didn’t get the subs right
The coach reacted swiftly following Theo’s red card, but he seemingly decided to make his team too defensive too early on and given Feyenoord fielded a depleted side with a lot of youngsters, it’s somewhat worrying that the mentality is that a team like Milan needed to defend for 40 minutes in that situation.

Preferably, the site would be trying to keep their composure and the ball and even use the pace to counter and potentially get a second goal, alas, this was not the case.
That being said, Conceicao did mention that a lot of players had some minor injuries or pain and were subbed off. However, the feeling is that he could’ve waited a while before the substitutions because the Rossoneri did not have the firepower to react following the equaliser.
5. Gimenez got his revenge
If we’re trying to pick out some positives then we have to mention that Gimenez managed to get a goal following the defeat in the first leg. The Mexican positioned himself well to give his side a stellar start to the game, but unfortunately, it was not enough in the end.
Looking at the game as a whole, the striker did really well following the goal and combined well with his teammates, especially with Felix, which made Conceicao’s choice to sub him off even weirder since he was quite active and determined to win the game.
However, the Mexican can hold his head high as he starts to unleash his potential and the future looks bright for him and for Milan’s striker position.
1. As I said last summer, time would prove that Pioli’s sacking would not solve anything until the main issue was addressed. Milan have a group of core players who are lazy and lack the winner mentality. They also serve as a bad example for the rest.
2. Sergio with his yelling could be the final nail in Milan’s coffin. He is very impulsive and makes things personal. That might not work at an already high-pressure place like Milan. It might make him make bad decisions (wrong subs), and make players feel tense pressure (which can end up with red cards)
3. This season is a write-off for Milan. Milan have become a mid-table team, and a rebuild, both in players and management is needed in the summer.
4. The Super Cup was won by Milan because Juve decided to throw it away. Milan only won the game vs Inter. Vs Juve they were not even remotely decisive to win on their own. This gave some people too much hype over what they could expect from this Milan.
5. Reijnders should play as AM. He already has 11 goals this season; imagine what he could do if he was deployed properly in every game. It seems that the primary CB duo should be Pavlovic-Thiaw. Pavlovic can play as LB too instead of Theo. Gimenez can make 20 league goals/season if served well.
1. What has laziness got to do with yesterday’s result?
2. Still Conceicao and his shouting (lol) has gotten more points than Inzagi since he arrived.
3. Midtable but 2pts from 4th. But that’s what happens when you complete your squad in January.
4. “…this gave some people”. One of those people was you, I remember that comment. So far you are right btw. But suppercoppa means nothing. Who cares about that bogus trophy. You and Inzagi should stop whining about it.
5. He’s been tried there several times, and not to great success (to my surprise as well). Plus we have felix now, and Pulisic as well.
“3. Midtable but 2pts from 4th. But that’s what happens when you complete your squad in January.”
We’re 5 points from 4th place.
Could be 2 with the game in hand is what he meant I think
I know but let’s not assume it’s already won.
I agree with the most part that you mentioned.
The management should be sacked all three – Ibra, furlani and moconda, the later may be a good scout. they should realise the mistake they did with Maldini.
Conceicao managed Porto well, it had lot of young talents and no big starts. He can’t treat Milan the same way.
We saw how good pavalovic had been for the past months and yesterday he never gave up after reducing to 10 man , he still had that determination to win. He particularly moved forward with the ball and pressured opponents and tackled hard every time they we lost the ball, really impressed with his work rate. He can be tested in the left. Only question is on his pace and passing, and how well he would sync with leao in the wings. Maybe be can be a traditional left back, who dont do much in attack.
We didn’t learn anything that we didn’t already know.
Milan, again, was failed by, as delusional fans call them, their 3 world class players.
Maignan, Leao and Theo lost Milan the Feyenord draw.
In these kind of games, on this stage of football ,the UCL, your best players should lead the way and show up, but they proved that they aren’t worthy for the umpteenth time.
Milan lost the first leg because of Maignan.
Leao, as usual, was dog sh!t in the UCL since there are no Verona’, Sassuolo’s, Lecce’s there.
And in the return leg it was the pink haired clowns turn. His 2 stupid yellow cards cost Milan the UCL. That’s after his and his TikTok dribbling buddy’s behavior and sh!tty performances cost Milan in Serie A, by sabotaging and successfully firing the previous coach. While most people spent every game talking about Emerson Royal some of us said that even though Royal wasn’t the solution at the RB position, Theo Hernández is actually the problem on the team. “Oh, how can you say that, he is the best left back in the world”! He is maybe the best pink haired left back in the world, since he is the only one.
Speaking of the coach. Conceição was my 2nd choice after Motta in the summer. I didn’t want him to take over mid-season and I thought Allegri was a much better choice, but people said Allegri plays ugly football, like we are getting a champagne football now under Conceição. Since he has been Milan coach, Leao and Theo are still sh!t, not his fault, he isn’t a miracle worker to turn sh!t into sugar, but also Milan’s 2 best players this season Pulisic and Reijnders have regressed under him.
Even after the pink haired 🤡 put Milan in a tough position, Conceição decided to take off Milan 2 best and 2 hardest working players Pulisic and Reijnders, who in every game cover the most ground on the pitch, while leaving the 2 laziest and useless players Leao and Joao on the pitch. Milan went from 1 man down to 3 men down because of those decisions. And just like in the derby, he decided to sit back, invite pressure and cost Milan the game.
Changes are needed this summer.
First by hiring a proper sporting director, and then firing Conceição followed by the sale of Theo and Leao. No matter what happens these next 3 months, those have to be the last months for those 2 in Milan jersey. They had 6 years and instead of getting better, they are getting worse and making the team worse by default. Milan can then finally be able to move on from this provincial style of football based on counter attack because their supposed best players don’t know, and refuse to learn how to play in any other way, which was the reason why a possession style coach like Fonseca failed at Milan.
This is the result of trying to build a team centered around overrated, overhyped, mentally weak, low football IQ mediocre footballers who are nothing more than pace merchants and TikTok dribblers. They showed many times they are not worthy of that level. If you can’t count on your best players to show up in most of the games you play, especially in the big games, then they can’t be your best players.
Milan decided to bet on them and failed. Time for a reset.
“First by hiring a proper sporting director, and then firing Conceição followed by the sale of Theo and Leao.”
If my memory is right, Conceição has a 6 months contract that can be renewed or not, and it’s very unlikely for him to be renewed.
On this point:
Indeed sports.director is already a suspected for the manipula5ions.of matches via Gabia and Theo . We got a sentence.: ” There’s someone claims your daughter is betchin then you are free do anything already about its not real deal.”
Trejo – a spotlights fixed his game by long time ago
About Rafael – he probably was tired IMO bu5 he might works for the Sprorts Manager plans already and playing his dummies
Completely agree.
In the short sight, Theo and Sergio’s subs failed us in Europe. But if you take a step back and take a long look, this is a result of many terrible decisions made by the ownership and the management.
Completely agree on the need of a competent Sporting director. There has been absolutely no synergy between any of the signings brought in outside of individual quality (whenever there was any) and cohesion with the areas of need. Just three disjointed arms working without any sort of common goal or oversight…
Completely agree on Senior players failing us. Leao was never the player to carry this team on his shoulders and it was a mistake by management to make him the highest paid player because his wages don’t reflect his contribution to the team dynamics or drive. Theo is the same story. Downward projection.
The only player so far who deserves Leao money is Pulisic and to lesser extent Reijnders. There is a base of some good players here and they need to be reinforced and built around. But it’s not Leao or Theo or any of the other deadwood brought in by these geniuses.
I will always take a less talented Left Winger who fights every game and gives it all over Leao’s pace and inconsistency. Same with Theo. We have Jiménez- younger hungrier Theo basically. Use him.
Conceicao I’m mixed on as he hasn’t had proper time to get something out of this team having to play every three days and not a whole lot of time in between to get something out of them.
And ultimately management…. Absolute liability.
See what you did bro…you just SUMMED it all up. God bless you for this man
Go and buy Ademan Lookman first our team would dream big 🔥
Ultimately, people are reading too much into one stupid decision by a player who’s having a nightmare season. We have a very good squad of players, better than the scudetto season imo. The amount of talent in the squad is crazy, never seen at Milan since Ancelloti days.
And the players are starting to gel with Conceicao’s ideas. We completely dominated Feyenoord with 11 players on the pitch, and so far with Conceicao, we rarely allow any team anything. Including the previous game against Feyenoord. On attack we still have plenty of things to work on, but remember Fofana has only just got here, not too mention the January additions. The results are already evident in serie a.
In short, I’m optimistic. The management planted several seeds this season (futuro, stadium,…) that will bear fruit in the near future. And the squad, if kept together with a few minor tweaks, should be scudetto contenders next season. Cheer up.
We dominated kids. We couldn’t score. We went down to 10 and we’re a shambles again.
I’ll remain optimistic in that we are still Milan and can change the culture overnight if there is a will, and it’s not like we never had disastrous seasons pre-RedBird, but this one is over.
Which team can play with 10 players mate? Of course we were in shambles. The season isn’t over, there’s the coppa, and even top 3rd isn’t out of reach (especially if you look at our points per game since Conceicao arrived). But yeah, I was mostly referring to next season. There’s still much to work on.
Conceicao,s style of play is why we were down to 10 men. The constant grabbing of other players and picking up yellow card after yellow card every match. How many times have we been down to 10 men already since he’s been here? I can think of 3 in the last 4 matches, (TOMORI, Musah, Theo) there have probably been more if I go back further. That’s his style of play. Grabbing and diving. Did you watch his Porto teams? That’s what they do. It’s ugly football.
If you think the team is starting to gel, God help us. We only beat Verona because they got a player sent off. We got beat by Dynamo Zagreb and Feyenoord who has a a coach who’s been there 2 games now and we just stole their best player away from them and we still.couldnt beat them. It’s an absolute embarrassment.
” We only beat Verona because they got a player sent off.”
What ?
He has an aggressive style mate, and that’s what we need. The reds against Feyenoord and Zagreb are down to pure stupidity, not to being aggressive. But can’t you see that we’re finally being difficult to play against. Gone are the days were the opponents have 2-3 dangerous chances in the opening minutes, where the opponents reach our box with zero to little effort, where cheap goals are offered left and right. Well hopefully gone. But so far it looks that way with Conceicao.
Difficult to play against? For who. Who’s having a hard time playing us? We are getting beaten by weaker teams on a regular basis. There is not a team out there that is afraid to play against us right now, not even in San Siro. I don’t know what games you are watching?
Grabbing people and diving all over the pitch is not ” aggressive football, it’s anti-football.
Empoli not Verona
” The amount of talent in the squad is crazy, never seen at Milan since Ancelloti days.”
What talent ?
Leão and Hernandez are one season or 2 seasons wonders that are on the decline ever since.
Félix is a reject who aside from ONE season with Benfica never showed anything worthy.
Reijnders is a good attacker but not good playmaker or defender.
Pulisic is good but can’t do everything.
Giménez is still an unknown
So what are we left with: Abraham ? Musah ? Fofana ? Old Walker ? Chukwueze ? Jimenez ? Where is this insane amount of talent ?
This isn’t a squad, this is a collage of a bunch of individuals that have no business being on the same team, and some of them have no business being in a pitch.
I disagree mate.
Theo is still being called up to the best national team in the world, Felix and Leao are staples at Portugal NT (the former more than the latter admittingly) despite being one season wonders as you say, Power Reijnders is dominating the Dutch NT. Pulisic and Fofana are also top players. And our two young CBs definitely have potential in my opinion. Yes Gimenez is still a relative question mark, but he does seem to fit the bill of what we’ve been missing all these seasons. And also yes, we finally have a bench that can also do something.
Oh yeah. We also have a goal keeperwho is good with his feet lol
Exactly, because there are no or a limited number of Italians who grew up together and play together.
I’m trying to stay positive but it’s not easy 😅. Feels like Theo and Leao will be gone in the summer and management’s talking about another ground zero or year zero I forget which – so we could end up 5-7 new players again which could go either way.. I guess it worked for Napoli a couple of seasons ago though..
It’s time to move on from both Leao and Theo to players who will fight and play harder. I just don’t trust this management to actually find those players. Honestly I’m surprised they closed Santi.
Who knows who will renew and when. All this talk about ground zero is just talk, probably not even that. I can still see us doing a decent to good job in the league, and then the talk will be different.
Exactly- are they going to bring in Ricci, Zhegrova, Cunha etc or Calvert-Lewin, Douglas Luiz, Mazzocchi etc?
1. We couldn’t break down a Dutch reserve team
2. We still have no heart, no determination, no aggression
3. Crime doesn’t pay, Theo. That was very stupid.
4. We STILL can’t play with 10 men
5. The season is over. 4th place and a tin cup (even 2 tin cups) won’t feel like a victory
Sell Theo and leao now and get good replacements.
RedBird out!
Mostly nothing learnt that we didn’t already know.
Reinforced the early signs that Conceicao refuses to take Felix. Even when he appears the obvious player to sacrifice.
Everything else was very familiar
take Felix off*
He can’t take Felix off – he’d get an argument later in bed…
It’s Mendes, man. He says jump, Sergio says how high?
LOL! They wouldn’t let me post the link but look at an article on felix and Pulisic by Gabe Marcotti. He is an Italian football writer, was at the game, and quotes several ex-Milan assistant coaches. A good read.

😂
😂
I’m watching Real Madrid vs. City right now. What i see is forward players who plays with each other, i haven’t seen that with Milan of late. Everyman for himself
Subbing out the season’s most consistent threat is concerning. Leaving in Felix is concerning. A Portuguese bias is concerning. Manager should be sacked on that decision alone. He’s horrible.
Bottom line is Milan has to get rid of players like Theo and Leao if they want to build a functional group. And they have to get rid of management that pays top dollar to inconsistent players like that and reinforces them because it sends out the wrong message to the rest of the team….
I learnt the 5th place in UCL won happen.
Juventus about to lose too.
Spanish teams winning.
Milan won’t finish 4th.
Spain will get it. I thought Juventus could get kicked out before the last 16, but Milan and Atalanta were a surprise. They had the qualification in their hands and threw it away.
Serie A teams are useless.
Milan, Juventus and Atalanta knocked out by Holland and Belgium teams.
There goes the 5th spot in UCL.
And some people here say that Inter is an aged team. lol
PSV will knock Inter out.
Inter will beat Feyenord.
Time will tell. Inter are much stronger than them on paper, though indeed the game is decided on the pitch. It will be interesting stuff to see how it plays out.
There’s 13 games left or something- we can get 4th easily if we put our mind to it.. something we haven’t been able to do much of recently, granted…
If the players could put their minds to it they could have won the scudetto and UCL, but they can’t. The way they play, it might be a struggle to stay in the Europe spots. The Bologna game will tell us a lot.
Serie A needs to be reduced to 18 teams and there must be incentives for teams to field Italians otherwise bad performances in Europe will continue.
I don’t like the narrative of Leao and Theo being the cause of all our problems.
Leao is often called inconsistent but compared to whom? Morata, Abraham, Felix, Okafor, Chukwueze, Fofana, Musah, Tomori? He doesn’t have to be our main man but to suggest he isn’t a good player to have is ridiculous.
Theo is having a terrible season, last night was completely on him, and he needs to sit some games out with Bartesaghi and Jimenez given more chances. However, let’s not act like he hasn’t been consistent for five seasons.
There are technical, tactical, and mental issues throughout the team; three howlers/moments of madness in our last three CL matches, an unbalanced squad with no clear playing style, our sending off statistics for the past five seasons are: 4, 4, 2, 9, and currently 6. The issues are much deeper than Leao, Theo, Bennacer, Krunic, Calabria. This all started with Maldini and Massara unceremoniously fired, to the shock of the players and fans. After that, we signed and sold players haphazardly, there have been several unprofessional incidents by the management and players, and we are now left with a toxic environment around the team.
4231 is over, same as 433.
It’s timely to say goodbye to Theo and Leao. At least one of the 2 egocentric player must go to find stability. Get back to basic 442 or 4312 as that is Milan DNA.
I’ll go against the grain here a bit and probably get flack for this but really the problem is the coaches we hired this season. They weren’t suited for the players. You can’t tell me a perennial top 4 finishing team/ likely top 2-3 team is suddenly poor. It reminds me of Napoli last year when they hired Garcia and ended up midtable. It was poor choice of recruitment on the coaching side. And we did a Napoli this year. It’s basically the same players as last year…at least from the start of the season. The only real big change was the coach.
So we’re saying Pioli got them to be like this with this attitude or did he know better and was underrated in terms of man management? You guys think Vini and Ancelotti got along at first or Mbappe for that matter? Nah, it’s how you manage on a man basis and both coaches this season lack that. It’s why they are cheap. This is what cheapness gets you.
I’ve said it before, we hired stick coaches for a carrot team. It’s why it’s dysfunctional. Not saying you can hire the stick coach but at least management should know first what the team needs. You want to create conditions for the coach or do you want it to be for the players? Napoli got rid of 2 of their best players for their stick coach. Are we that brave? Not with a brand-valuing management team we won’t be.
It’s fine hiring Conceicao but his teams are workhorses and scrappy, gritty players. We have a bunch of flair up and down the team…Puli, Deers, Leao, Felix, Gimi and that’s half of the team already. So why we hiring these hardliner coaches? These guys aren’t the run an chase ball types. Alternatively, we could move on the players not functional to workhorsing like Theo and Leao….but we got the coach in December not July and that’s not so easy to do. And Fonseca is too timid to ask for what he wants. Both huge mistakes by management. Basically what I’m saying is pick your path and stick with it. You want to hire a coach and give him the players he wants then don’t go half way. OR you hire a coach that’s suited to what you already have, and won’t rock the boat. Right now we’re doing it half way for either option and it just doesn’t work.
You are correct to a certain extent as the coaches haven’t been able to mould a real team this season.
Since the Scudetto ,Milan gradually stopped playing as a team, and the main culprits of this have been Leao & Theo and of course Pioli who didn’t enforce teamwork and gave them the freedom to do as they please. This is precisely why we are a poor team .
Top footballers will not continuously open space off the ball to never receive it ,they will either stop opening space and do the same or confront the player and tell them to pass the f****** ball when they are open! Usually the coach enforces the system but watching Milan is like watching an alternate universe where Leao (and to a lesser extent Theo nowadays) waste chance after chance that lead to nothing. Then the other players start doing the same as there is not fixed framework of understanding.
Fonseca and Conceciao have not tackled this issue ( or were not successful), if Leao can’t pass the ball or open space to receive the ball then bench him or sell him. The team comes before all players and the coaches and directors must be resolute and stick to the path. Individuals don’t win trophy’s,team do and what we have had for the last 3 years are individuals not a team.
When we had a team we won the league with a system that worked, even though the players were of lesser quality( except the midfield of course!)
Leao shouldn’t be sold, he would be difficult to replace. He’s not the problem. If there were consistent threats in other positions, then his occasional poor games don’t matter.
Leao would be a lot easier to replace than Theo.
Leao doesn’t have occasional poor games, on the contrary, he has OCCASIONAL GOOD GAMES.
Leao in serie A averages per season 8.5 goals and 7 assists, while in UCL he averages 1.5 goal and 1.5 assists per season.
That’s a disgusting production for the hype he gets and for the lack of effort on the defensive end.
Theo with his head on screwed right is much harder to replace than Leao.
There are no Theo’s around while there are plenty of Leao’s. Leao can be replaced by any winger who can run fast.
Some are saying that people thought that Okafor can replace Leao and we saw that he can’t. If you gave Okafor, Leao’s minutes he could give you those pitiful numbers.
Example is Ante Rebic. In his first 2 seasons at Milan when he was a starter, Rebic had 11g and 3 assists, and 11g and 7 assists in serie A. Not much off Leao’s numbers.
Okafor last season had 6g, 2a in 870 serie A minutes, while Leao had 9 and 9 in 2525 minutes. I’m not saying that Okafor should be the starter because he can’t stay healthy to be a starter, but Leao production is easily replaceable. Pulisic 6g and 8a in serie A this season, 12g, 9a last season, playing on his weak side.
When Theo is in the right state of mind, there are no replacements for him out there
First of all, Leao’s Serie A average is around 9.5 goals and 6,5 assists,. Second, let’s add context to these stats. Leao came in very young to a mess of a team in his first season. Since then, he found a stable position, his minutes increased, and his stats improved as the team improved. I’m not saying Leao is our savior or that he can’t be sold, but he is a good player and definitely not the problem. Unless we fix other issues in the team, a new left winger won’t change anything unless they can guarantee 20 goals a season.
Leao doesn’t even guarantee 10 goals a season, based on my and your numbers so what is your point? Why do we need a 20 goal winger to replace a 10 goal winger?
Not to mention that he is lazy and refuses to track back and defend.
How about a 10 goal winger that actually plays both ways?
My point is, if you fix the main problems in the team, Leao’s output and performances will improve. This is something we have already seen. Your argument is fair but it won’t help the team unless the real problems are addressed as well;
1. Who will be our coach next season, Conceicao or someone else?
2. What formation will we play which players don’t fit into that and which players do we need?
3. Will we play with a number 10? If yes, will it be Pulisic, Reijnders, or Felix? If not, is a midfield of Reijnders, Musah, and Fofana good enough?
4. We need a big impact signing in midfield.
5. Do we trust these owners/management to make the right moves and create a good environment for the team?
I’m actually a bit surprised to read that you’re somewhat more willing to make a case for Théo.
But the problem is that while Théo in the right state of mind is hard to replace, he is seldom in the right state of mind and it’s already became too much.
Also, if he is already throwing a tantrum because Maldini left or Pioli left or Tonali left or he wants more money, you can be sure that he’ll be even worse if his buddy Leão were to leave.
Personally, as much as it saddens me, but the scudetto side is definetly over and we should move on. It’s not like we need to sell many players, it’s more like there is only few we need to keep (although I’ll keep the central defense as it is). We FIRST need to hire a proper sporting director and we should accept that it is probably going to take years before building a competitive squad and we’re probably going to miss the UCL many times along the way.
Good job everyone.
“Also, if he is already throwing a tantrum because Maldini left or Pioli left or Tonali left or he wants more money, you can be sure that he’ll be even worse if his buddy Leão were to leave.”
OR he might start to enjoy playing again as he wouldn’t have to defend for the two of them. If he played with someone willing to do at least some defending as well, Theo would have more energy to charge forwards. He’d love that.
“occasional poor games”
😀 😀 😀 😀
It’s actually one good game and then 4 bad ones. Good games are the occasional ones – not the other way around.
Stop hiring tier B&C coach. They will not take milan anywhere. Our current players are quite proper, now it’s the time to invest in world class coach. #klopp #pep etc.
No CL means no money for acquisitions. Sergio won’t be extended. Big sales inevitable, probably Leao, Theo and Tomori as frontrunners. A lot of deadwood to get rid of (Origi, Emerson, RLC, Musah, Okafor, Chuk, Jovic) and useless loaned players to leave (Abraham, Sottil, Felix). I’m most worried which of loaned out players will return back to us.
But we need a fresh start under proper management and coach (preferably Italian) who will have a proper preseason and be able to build around our core:
Maignan
Walker Thiaw Gabbia ???
Fofana ??? Reijnders
Pulisic Gimenez ???
I like Italiano and Baroni. Farioli is doing well with Ajax, Sarri is interesting but somehow past his best and has tendency to clash with his players.
