AC Milan lost by a goal in the friendly against Virtus Entella this afternoon, after taking the lead twice; the game ended 3-2 to the visitors.
Massimiliano Allegri mixed several senior players with a few Futuro options for the friendly against Virtus this afternoon. Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Youssouf Fofana, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jashari, Pervis Estupinan and Pietro Terracciano were all selected.

More than anything, it was a chance for Milan to get some match fitness for their players, after all, the Rossoneri were calling upon some players who had recently returned from injuries and had not played much football.
However, there were some disappointing performances from a few senior players. Ones that need scrutinising.
Match report: Milan vs. Virtus
Things started quite positively, with the Rossoneri having a few early chances, and the first goal came inside 10 minutes. Christian Pulisic was slipped in by Magrassi – with a delightful ball, we should add – and he slotted it under the ‘keeper’s legs.
The following 20 minutes were quite back and forward, with Virtus threatening a little more with time, and they eventually made the Diavolo pay.
A sloppy error from Youssouf Fofana on the edge of the box saw him dispossessed by the Entella centre forward, who finished well from the left side of the box. Really, really poor from Fofana, whose season is not going as he’d hope.
Allegri’s side ended the half well, looking dangerous. However, they could not make the difference, despite a few efforts to do so. At half-time, the Italian opted to make a few changes, Lorenzo Torriani for Terracciano, Chaka Traore for Magrassi and Branca for Loftus-Cheek.
The second period started as the first had ended, with the Rossoneri going forward with purpose, and they eventually took the lead once again. Traore ran down the left with purpose and put a fantastic ball into the box, which Borsani put home easily.
It would not last for long, though, as Entella levelled within 10 minutes. A mistake by Jashari and Torriani was left helpless, as Boccadamo scored.
As the game came towards its end, both teams had a few half-chances. However, it would be Entella who grabbed a winner. Portanova took advantage of a poorly organised Diavolo defence, before playing in Debenedetti, who scored with a nice finish.
A poor result, with some poor performances. However, again, this was a game to test fitness, and 90 minutes for Jashari and Pulisic is really solid ahead of the Derby next week.

Embarrassing. We need a forfana replacement
Fofana is so so bad. Also Estupinan really dissapointed me. Jashari and Puli played quite well.
Who freakin’ cares about the result. It’s practice.
I’m just glad nobody got hurt. RLC muscle strain incoming….
Says a lot about Fofana’s current performances when he can’t even do well against a bottom-table team from Serie B. Perhaps it’s time to bench him?
The real questions is for who would be benched? Jashari that also made a mistake against a team like that? Fofana and him can’t handle pressure from a bad Serie B team…Fofana at least didn’t cost 40M€.
Ricci or RLC shud play for now
I can’t remember a single good game from RLC in midfield. When he played good for Milan he was mostly more forward.
Well they are the options
RLC isn’t very good defensively and spotty at best offensively. We really need to move on from him. Ricci is the only option so far.
Or you can try moving Alexis into midfield and playing Athekame on the wing. But I don’t know if that’s an experiment for the derby.
Ricci has been rather average in every single game he’s played. Rabiot’s absence has been magnified, because his replacement, Ricci, is not offering anywhere near what Rabiot brings. He’s a good alternative, but just good. Hopefully Rabiot is back to full fitness soon.
Jashari should offer more potential. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Long injury, new league, no fitness at all, (his performance declined as minutes went on).
I like the Ricci – Modric- Rabiot but i fear there isnt enough attacking bite. The only reason Fofana has been playing ahead of Ricci is because he offers more going forward. (in theory at least)
Well its Allegriball.
Score and sit back from the 4th or 10th min etc
Doesn’t matter if its Parma, Pisa or a serie B team
All the commentary about the players not being motivated or losing focus v Parma
Reality is they are doing what they are told, which is sit back and wait for the opposition to score.
Was and always will be the Allegri way
It’s not Allegriball when it’s with 8 players he hasn’t coached regularly. It’s an experiment to get minutes into players returning from injury and see how the problem children do.
Here we go again with FOOL..FOR..NOW
I wonder what Max see’s in this 3rd division player
Jashari and Fofana lol. I’ve just watched the game on youtube. I understand it is practice but if you can’t keep steady under pressure in game like this, against a team like this, how will you against top teams and top players?
Won’t make excuses for Fofana…..but Jashari hasn’t seen any live action since preseason. And he’s coming off a pretty nasty injury. To be expected that he has some rust.
Cut the kid some slack, he’ll get there. Not sure what you expected honestly.
Hope Puli and Jashari get the test they needed on their fitness. That’s the main objective
Sure this is against serie b site and its risk to be serious its practice nothing more same like training at milanelo our players have to play with cautious
