AC Milan Women and Inter Women have each donated 2,500 kilos of club-branded pasta to Banco Alimentare della Lombardia of Muggiò, in the province of Monza and Brianza.
As confirmed by a statement on the club’s official website, the 5,000kg will go to helping the many families in need in Lombardy and were delivered by head coach Maurizio Ganz, his deputy Davide Cordone, captain Valentina Giacinti and midfielder Vero Boquete. Coach Attilio Sorbi, deputy coach Simona Zani plus players Lisa Alborghetti and Yoreli Rincón were there for Inter Women.
Just before the kick-off of the second leg of the Women’s Coppa Italia Semi-final, Milan’s Giacinti and Inter’s Lisa Alborghetti exchanged two briefcases full of pasta to mark the launch of the initiative.
