Official: AC Milan announce signing of Adrien Rabiot until 2028

This evening, AC Milan have announced the signing of Adrien Rabiot from Olympique Marseille, until June 2028.

All summer, there have been suggestions that Massimiliano Allegri, despite the additions, has wanted to complete the midfield with Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman was a key part of his Juventus team, and the Italian wanted him to return to Serie A.

It seemed impossible, until a dressing room issue caused a breakthrough. Then, over the weekend, things took off, and a deal seemed more and more possible.

Rabiot to Milan: Done

Fabrizio Romano announced that a deal had been done ahead of deadline day, for a fee of €10 million. With reports later stating that the midfielder had completed his medical in France, with a representative of the Rossoneri present, ahead of him signing a three-year deal, with the option of an additional year.

Now the news has been confirmed by the Rossoneri, who stated the following on their website.

“AC Milan announces the acquisition of Adrien Rabiot from Olympique Marseille. The French midfielder has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until June 30, 2028.”

Considering the desire that Allegri has had for the midfielder, partnered by the injury to Ardon Jashari and Yunus Musah’s departure, the midfield looks to be in a solid place as the window shuts. Plus, it shows the Italian is being listened to in the mercato, which had been questioned before this move.

  1. At least redbird is better than these chinese comunist party. I give them a second chance after this mercato…✌🏾♥️🖤

    1. failed attempt at trying to be political. when did the party ever take control of milan? stick to the village, peasant. LOL

  2. One great signing, admittedly for the area of the pitch we least needed it. Four years is a bit too many and we could have signed him much cheaper a year ago… but I think it’s a good move for the short term.

    1. I think our midfield was the biggest problem last season. There was something seriously disjointed. This guy was patch that up.

But we let go of too many attacking players, and didn’t sign a replacement for Chukwueze.

      1. Midfield was the biggest problem last season. Now attack and defense will be the biggest problems this season. Wack a mole. In the summer of 2026 they will sell 10 players again, buy 5 attackers and 5 defenders and midfield will again be the problem.

  3. We are not premierleague right now. They got money. We need to get back to this time where milan is top of the club, with our other serie a clubs (atalanta, juve and inter etc)..make money…

    1. After Modric in my opinion. Both are winners and Rabiot can sure run and score and carry the ball. With Modric I think we have a great midfield, if Fofana plays with them, or Ricci, or Jashari one day.

  4. Not my favorite olayer but he kept his spot for French national team. That alone shows he is valuable player.

Welcome to Milan and hope we do well together

  5. He’s not a bad player but long term it’s a horrible signing. We know this means less chances for Ricci and Jashari. I could also see Allegri play Rabiot and RLC in a front 3 and I wish I was joking.

  6. Benvenuto adrien. Marseile sure have some rivalry with paris, now that we have 2 parisians in Fofana and adrien, Welcome.

  7. I liked how he played at PSG no doubt. Even at Juve he was decent but seem shackled under Max. So was surprised Max even wanted him. Anyways best of luck
