GdS: Milan have €30m Monaco defender and €12m Zurich star on their radar

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are watching two young centre-backs from abroad closely and Simon Kjaer’s injury might see them accelerate a pursuit, a report claims.

Il Corriere della Sera are reporting that Simon Kjaer will have to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to repair damage to his cruciate ligament and his collateral ligament, whichmeans that the 32-year-old is looking at six months out and his season could well be over.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri scouting department continue to monitor the best young talents abroad in each department and Kjaer’s serious injury could change their plans regarding two players who were being eyed for next summer.

Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile is one of the targets, and the 20-year-old already has an asking price of €30m given his impressive exploits. Another option is Becir Omeragic, a 19-year-old defender for FC Zurich who would cost a more reasonable €12m as per the newspaper.
