CM: Milan, Barcelona and Dortmund want England U19 star – the asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa, another report has claimed, and the idea of an exit is very tempting to him.

The Athletic reported first this morning that Chukwuemeka is being chased by both Milan and Barcelona, while Villa have tried and failed to extend the contract of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder since October. He is a product of Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath academy and won the U19 European Championships with England this summer.

According to Calciomercato.com, Villa are currently fearful of the fact they may lose him for free next year and thus are evaluating a sale by 1 September. Steven Gerrard is trying to convince the teenager, but his attempts have not worked so far.

The idea of leaving and trying an experience at another club teases Chukwuemeka, especially now that he has also made a name for himself at European level with the U19 Euros.

Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Milan are keen on signing him and his profile has already been reported by the Rossoneri scouts, but the €20m asking price is currently out of reach.
