The AC Milan defensive unit seems to be wrapped up with the signing of David Odogu from Wolfsburg, which is now official.
There have been several ideas for the defence this week, and most have been experienced names, given that this is what Milan clearly lack. Barring Fikayo Tomori, the defence are all 25 years old or younger, and even then, Tomori is not the most experienced player.

With the oldest option in the squad being 27, there is a lack of a Massimiliano Allegri feel to things; look at his Juventus team: Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci all stalwarts until (and during) the late days of their career.

Odogu to Milan: Done
Nevertheless, rather than adding someone like Joe Gomez or Manuel Akanji, both of whom have been close to moves, the Rossoneri have opted to add the inexperienced Odogu to the backline, who played just three Bundesliga games last season.
This evening, Milan confirmed the signing on their website.
AC Milan announces that it has acquired the sporting performances of footballer David Uyoyo Odogu from VfL Wolfsburg. The German defender has signed a contract with the Rossoneri Club until June 30, 2029, with the right of option in favour of the Club for the extension until June 30, 2030.
There have been suggestions that the 19-year-old could head straight to the Futuro set-up, but considering what the Diavolo needed in the defence, this feels like a bit of a wasted signing. Hopefully, that is not the case.

What’s amusing is that even with Chiellini and Bonucci, Allegri played three in the back. Wake me up when Allegri ball is over.
Anyone knows anything about this player?
Think he’s played 3 league games in first team
I know he’ll be more useful than Musah but then again that’s just stating the obvious.
They call him The New Beckenbauer, apparently.
Who’s they? Haha
Looks like the future defense player for our club. Hope the dont swap them to other clubs. We ahould give them chance to play. Dont do the same like camagra etc. Lets give them play time… These stup… crazy management (too many people are involved in decision) . Let tare and allegri do their job)… Furlani and ibra… shoot…
He’s Thiaw, basically. Will play 15 matches a season for 2-3 years, in hope that he can be sold for a 30-40M profit to teams like Newcastle.
Milan is ONLY a short to medium term business platform for the Americans.
Right, they sell players then put the money back into the team, like most clubs.
@Patinho You mean like Benfica, PSG, Madrid, Chelsea Dortmund has been doing for the past few years. At the end of the day, football is a business that needs to generate money or otherwise you become like Bordeaux who once was a great club now can’t register their team into professional football. I don’t care as long as we find suitable replacement and strengthen the squad.
Milan has lacked exactly that crucial part – replacing the talent. The teams you mentioned have either brought in even greater talent or invested in proven stars, while Milan has fallen short in doing so.
Who????
Exactly another trash player that will take us nowhere. Even if he develops, our management will sell him and use the funds to pay their vendor loan
The next Aster Vranckx.
I never commented here, but here it goes.
Why don’t we bring a free agent? Kurt Zouma is available, Kalechi as well.
