Official: AC Milan to face Bologna twice in five days – the details

Lega Serie A have officially confirmed the date and time of AC Milan’s Matchday 36 fixture against Bologna, ahead of the Coppa Italia final.

Serie A has not been a topic of great joy for Milan this season, but with the new system, there are hopes that things can be turned around. The Rossoneri have a few big fixtures ahead, but it could be argued that the big two are against Bologna, in the League and the Coppa Italia.

Both games offer a much-needed test to once again see the quality of the squad and Sergio Conceicao’s new system. However, the fixtures could even be used by the Diavolo as a chance to scout Vincenzo Italiano, who is reportedly a managerial candidate for the summer.

For now, though, we must focus on the present and this afternoon, the club’s official website confirmed the date and time that the Rossoneri will face Bologna:

Matchday 36, Milan-Bologna, Friday 9 May, 8.45 pm CEST (DAZN/Sky/NOW)

It is a fixture which has arrived at a perfect time, as neither club will have an ‘upper hand’ due to the scheduling, maybe it was fate for the two to face off against each other in the game before the Coppa Italia, which is scheduled for five days later.

  1. Let’s be honest, there’s a chance Bologna will have something to fight for in the league and very little chance we will do…

And if it would mean them beating Juve to fourth in the league, I hope our second string make them work really hard in the league game but we ultimately lose!

    1. Totally agree. I hope we don’t start our first team but we definitely should make them work for it. The cup final is more important for Milan. We have nothing to fight for in the league.
