Milan Futuro 1-0 Gubbio: Chaka Traore saves Camarda from despair

AC Milan Futuro ran out with a 1-0 victory over Gubbio this afternoon, courtesy of a goal from Chaka Traore, who is experiencing a good spell of form.

The opening period of the game was dominated by the visitors, and whilst there were no major chances for either side, Lorenzo Torriani was tested a few times, but to no avail.

After the opening spell of pressure though, it would be Milan to take the lead with Chaka Traore breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute. A nice ball from Sandri found the attacker, who made his angle well before beating the goalkeeper at the near post to give the hosts a welcomed lead.

Unfortunately, the Young Rossoneri did not make the most of their pressure after scoring and immediately fell on the back foot, with Gubbio again having a few nice chances, but again nothing came to fruition as the first half ended 1-0.

The 10 minutes after the interval were full of Diavolo action, and on another day, perhaps the scoreline could have been 3-0.

Davide Bartesaghi’s cross was not dealt with and it almost looped into the goal, and it would have if not for the crossbar.

Then, three minutes later Milan were awarded a penalty which Francesco Camarda stepped up to take – despite missing the past month due to his senior commitments – but the youngster was denied by the goalkeeper making a fantastic save.

In the 40 minutes that followed both teams had chances, but neither were able to add to the scoreline, meaning Traore’s early goal was the decider. A welcomed win for the struggling Daniele Bonera.
