AC Milan are taking on Inter in the fourth Derby della Madonnina of the season, hoping to at least keep the unbeaten run going. Follow the Coppa Italia action with our live commentary below.
The two city rivals have already been up against each other three times this season, twice in the league and once in the Supercoppa Italia. Milan prevailed in two of those, including the Supercoppa final, and the most recent one ended in a draw (1-1).
In other words, the Rossoneri will be looking to keep the unbeaten run going this evening, and perhaps even snatch a win ahead of the second leg in three weeks. Sergio Conceicao has made three changes to the XI, including bringing Rafael Leao back from the bench.
You can follow the action from San Siro with our live commentary below, as published on our X account. There will be no watchalong on YouTube for this one, sadly, but Lorenzo and Stefano will be back in due course.

Thiaw and Gabbia. I’m not convinced
Lol, Theo with the obligatory yellow. Zero discipline as usual. Are we going to see another dismissal? Stay tuned.
At least we didn’t concede a goal in first 15 minutes, so far so good
We should win. should
Inter’s greater number of and better chances halftime disagree.
I can also observe how Milan players function.
They don’t give 100% in game. And that is in every game case. All inter chances come as result of Milan not returning at defence and not knowing to play defence when opponents attacks.
There is huge place for work.
Specifically Theo. He looks lost in defense. His next club should consider converting him to a winger, Gareth Bale style. But this has been our problem for 3-4 seasons. Leao also offers nothing in defence, but we can carry him if we have a proper LB that can defend, plus maybe a proper DM to play next to Fofana.
With draw we are finished
In half time he should move Pulisic on right and Reijnders in no 10. Remove Jimenez and bring Musah
I agree, but maybe Bondo over Musah.
Jimenez not an asset as a starter.
Well we didn’t make a stupid mistake during first half so that is something
There are times when it is clicking for us but it can quickly turn sour. Hopefully we get some wind in our sails
Not a bad first half, considering the current circunstances… Forza Milan, let’s go for a win on the second half.
So many negative comments on whole team so far (hernandez, jimenez, formation, centre back pair..).
I do not know guys, I think it was great first half, good footbal and good performances from the whole team
Nah, our CBs are doing well. It’s our best pairing, as Fonseca realized. Conceicao at least figured that out after all of his tinkering. Formation is fine. It’s just really Theo, and maybe Jimenez, but the latter is always playing in a different position, like Musah, so it will be tough for him to develop in any position.
I would not say it was a ‘great’ first half, but at least it was a fairly decent one, compared to the simply ATROCIOUS display againt Napoli last weekend…
Our first half against Napoli was simply APPALLING beyond judgement.
Don’t be surprised if Milan win as we only know how to play against Inter
Goooooooooooooal…!!!!!
Forza, Tammy!!!
Super Tammy LOL
I think he deserved extension just on important goals alone, but this summer will be summer of cleaning house unfortunately
Nice one Tammy! In in the instant I thought he should have laid it off to Fofana, but he managed to put it in the back of the net…
unfortunately for him i meant
But I guess we should keep him, he’s a nice squad player.
The whole playing Jimenez back as a 5th defender and tucking Walker inside is a page out of Fonseca’s book, btw.
Sidenote; Always thought Acerbi as quite the a**hole even from his Lazio days. He just reinforced that picking on a 19 year old kid. Isn’t he like 40 years old or something? Because he was washed out at Milan and his career took off at 33 has nothing do do with us but the man carries a chip on his shoulder vs us like it’s Milan’s fault he has had a mid career. Anyway, I really don’t like Francesco Acerbi..lol!
SHINter goal, from that fvckin’ scoundrel Çalhanoğlu…
Poor Puli seems so much less effective in the middle. Conceicao hasn’t figured it out, and neither has the US national team coach.
Snakes gon snek
If Theo gets more than 5.5, ratings on this site lose all credibility
We’re trying desperately to commit suicide at the back – meanwhile Felix is wandering around like a child lost at the fair! Has he got any idea what he’s supposed to do.,.?
Felix is absolutely useless.
Totally
It is politics in club. You can see how many players don’t have space because of politics in the club….
Oh well. We didn’t play badly and we’re still in the tie. Let’s see what happens in the return leg.
Milan chances are below 0% realistically
Don’t worry; Inzaghi gives a hand. He starts in the same lineup Fratessi, Correa and Darmian. It is like starting with 9 and a half players. It is a pity because the Coppa Italia and Serie A are the 2 trophies Inter can win this season.
