AC Milan 1-1 Inter: SempreMilan watchalong and live commentary

The big game between AC Milan and Inter is here! Join us for the watchalong, hosted by Lorenzo and Stefano, or follow the game with our live commentary.

Milan are in need of three points tonight to stay in the Champions League race, or at least to make it easier, while Inter are looking to keep up with Napoli in the Scudetto race. Two different motivations, but two teams with the same desire to win.

Sergio Conceicao has made three changes to the starting XI, giving Kyle Walker his debut, and Hakan Calhanoglu has recovered in time for Inter. It should be an interesting clash underneath the San Siro floodlights, that’s for sure.

  1. Leao does the right thing and SHOOTS! Hard and low which is exactly what you want. How many times have we seen that cut back pass instead which does nothing but start the counter for the opposition. If you’re a forward and you get the ball in the box, shoot hard and low and magic can happen. I’d like to see shooting being the first thought when we break into the box, so often that one extra pass breaks everything down.

  2. Walker makes a lot of difference at right back. He gives a lot of balance and assurance to that side of the field , and allow Musa to run.
Game plan looking good so far.

  3. A player of Moratas caliber is being missed..he would instill fear in the opposition. The positive factor out of all is the fear factor against Inter has gone.

  4. Yeah wasn’t great keeping by Sommer but agreed, you make your own luck, sometimes good to test the keeper see what happens when it’s panic in the box.

Inter close a few times, Musah struggling a bit in possession but if that Reijnders through-ball was better it could even be 2-0

Tammy has been zero, like no good link up, or hold up, or dribbling, or goal threat. Need him to help with something in 2nd half. After today he’s hopefully only a backup with Gimenez arriving.

  5. Here’s the thing. We invited the pressure, Inter hit the post three times. We rode our luck. Always disappointing to concede in added time but let’s be honest Sh!nter deserved the draw.

I’m not too downhearted feels like we’re a quality DM and CB away from being competitive (assuming Gimenez hits the ground running as our starting no.9)

    Forza Milan

  6. Camarda / Terrachiano in such a crucial fixture why ??? Puli / leao / Abraham / Misha all pulled out
We invited pressure and the result was there.
Concieao pl don’t do experiments in such imp matches.

  7. The first half was okay. In the second half the team played with fear. We were lucky to get away with a point. Poor from Leao, and I normally don’t criticise him, but there were two occasions where he took wild shots with players available. Gimenez isn’t going to do a lot in games like this – there was no service. Inter are one of the best teams in Europe. We have a long way to go.
