After the definition of the Zlatan Ibrahimovic deal, AC Milan want to bring two more reinforcements in the January transfer market: a defender and a midfielder. However, everything will depend on the sales. The club will have to finance incoming operations with funds generated from outgoing players.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport today (via milanlive.it), seven players could leave the club shortly. These are Krzysztof Piatek, Ante Rebic, Fabio Borini, Lucas Paqueta, Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez and Matteo Gabbia.
Starting from the attack, everything will now revolve around Ibra. With his arrival, the department could be reduced and one of Leao or Piatek could leave on loan to play continuously. And between the two, the Polish attacker seems to be the main candidate. In addition to Genoa, Fiorentina also seem to be interested in the player but both are unwanted destinations for the player himself.
The attacker certain to leave is Borini. He too is in the sights of Genoa but in his case, the transfer to Liguria would be much simpler. Rebic also has his suitcases ready after disappointing in his first months in Serie A. The agent of player is working to bring him back to Eintracht Frankfurt, as he has already worn two shirts this season and can only player for the German club.
Regarding the midfield, Paqueta’s departure is becoming a more concrete option. Milan is willing to evaluate all the offers and and is considering to sell teh Brazilian in case of an adequate proposal. Leonardo is ready to take him to PSG but the Rossoneri do not want to drop bellow the 35 million euros asking price. Meanwhile, Kessie, is followed by West Ham and Wolverhampton in the Premier League.
In the defence, Gabbia would make way for a new arrival, with Jean-Clair Todibo being the main target of the Milan management. Meanwhile, Ricardo Rodriguez has asked to be sold, as he fears to miss the European Championship due to a lack of playing time.
