Di Marzio: Milan evaluating two alternatives after second Onyedika bid is knocked back

AC Milan have had a second bid for Raphael Onyedika refused which means they are now looking into two other targets, it is claimed.

According to Di Marzio, things are heating up in Milan’s pursuit of a new central midfielder. There was a new attempt for Onyedika, but FC Midtjylland refused the proposal and there is still distance between Milan and the Danish club over the valuation of the 21-year-old.

There are other ideas for Milan which hinge on Tiemoue Bakayoko’s exit including Jean Onana of Bordeaux and Aster Vranckx of Wolfsburg.

For Onana, the deal could be closed for about €4-5m up front which seems to be within the Rossoneri’s budget, also considering Bordeaux were relegation last season.

For Vranckx on the other hand, the operation would be a loan with option to buy deal thus deferring any potential payment until next summer when more funds should be available.
