AC Milan have confirmed that Ismael Bennacer has left the club after the termination of his contract was agreed by mutual consent.
Bennacer’s Milan career was strange. At his peak, he was a core member of the squad who was one of the first names on the teamsheet. However, his career has been massively derailed by repeated injuries.

Indeed, just a few years ago he had hopes of winning the Ballon d’Or and now he is playing outside of Europe.
It is a shame for the midfielder, who will be remembered in mixed light by the Rossoneri. On his day, he was a fantastic midfielder, but his exit saga in the January 2025 window has left many with a sour taste.
Bennacer departs
Earlier this summer, it was confirmed that he would head to Qatar once his contract situation was resolved. So, now he is free to make that move, after a statement confirming his exit this evening from Milan.
