Now the 2023-24 season has come to a close it is time for a summer of major tournaments in international football, with the 2024 European Championship being the main act.

Milan’s lack of Italians
There are nine Italian players in the senior squad, although much of the usual starting eleven is made up of foreign players mainly due to the transfer strategy that has been deployed in recent years.
Davide Calabria is the only Italian player who has a certain starting place in Pioli’s team, with the likes of Alessandro Florenzi, Matteo Gabbia, Filippo Terracciano and Tommaso Pobega being rotational options.
As a result, Luciano Spalletti has not called a single Milan player up to the Italy squad as they aim to defend their crown.
