Unfortunately, after a 1-0 defeat against Parma this afternoon, AC Milan Primavera have made an exit from the Coppa Italia Primavera.
After the 2-1 victory against Roma at the weekend, there was optimism that the Milan Primavera team could progress through the youth Coppa Italia with a win against Parma this afternoon.
Despite the visitors having an advantage in the table, the young Rossoneri had gotten the better of them last month, thanks to goals from Damir Zukic and Filippo Scotti. However, it was not to be this time around.
Milan Primavera exit Coppa Italia Primavera
The youth team got off to a bad start and went into half-time 1-0 down, and unfortunately, they were unable to turn the game around. Naturally, the focus will now turn back to the league, where they will hope to get over the result this weekend when they face Torino.
The Rossoneri’s reaction culminated in Lontani hitting the post in the second half, which shows how fine the margins were. There was some doubt as to whether the game would be played given the condition of the pitch, and a couple of questionable refereeing decisions too.
On Saturday, Renna’s team travel to Turin at 13:00 CET, where they hope to extend their winning streak and secure three points to further climb the standings.
