The new coach isn’t in place yet and nor are any directors, but AC Milan’s pre-season planning work most go on.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), an agreement between Celtic and AC Milan is in place over a friendly. It’s scheduled for July 25th in Glasgow at Celtic Park, against the side who won the Scottish title in dramatic circumstances.

It will be the last test before departing for the tour of Australia and Indonesia. The team are expected to take off on the 28th or 29th, but the date will clearly be influenced by how the new coach organises the work he has in mind.

The team will train in Perth, where they also spent last summer. In 2026, however, the Rossoneri will train more in Australia. The reason: in the original schedule drawn up under Massimiliano Allegri, the stay will be eight or nine days.

During the Australian tour, Milan are expected to play a match behind closed doors against Perth Glory, whom they already faced on July 31st and defeated resoundingly 9-0. The highlight will be the derby against Inter, taking place on August 5th in front of 60,000 fans at Optus Stadium.

Juventus and Palermo will also be in Perth during those days, but they won’t face the Diavolo. Before returning to Italy, Milan will stop in Jakarta (Indonesia) where they’ll face Chelsea on August 8th at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Tickets are already on sale and are selling well.

They also played a friendly against the Blues last summer at Stamford Bridge, with the English side winning 4-1. The final pre-season test will be on August 15th in Wroclaw, Poland, against Manchester United. Just over a week later it’s the start of Serie A, and who knows how Milan will look.
