AC Milan are taking on Bari in their first competitive game of the 2025-26 season, entering the Coppa Italia in the preliminaries. In other words, a win is a must for Massimiliano Allegri in his return.

A comfortable win for Milan in the end, which is exactly what Allegri wanted. Leao and Pulisic were the goalscorers, with one goal in each half. Hopefully, the No.10’s injury isn’t anything serious.

The American combines with the Mexican to double the lead for Milan, turning inside the box before slotting it home. Nicely done by the duo there.

Gimenez slots it home, but the flag is up for offside. Estupinan with the shot that was going wide.
Sibili forces Maignan to a very good save. Great left-footed strike from the Bari man there.
Milan played some really good football to create Pulisic’s chance, it must be said, with some nice actions from Gimenez, Saelemaekers, RLC and so on.
Pulisic is denied by the crossbar! It almost looked like a fantastic save from the keeper at first.
So close once again! RLC wins it back for Pulisic and he fires a good shot, but it’s deflected and ends up just over the bar.
Loftus-Cheek comes close to doubling the lead, but his shot is deflected just wide.
Pretty clear yellow card, at least if you ask me, as Estupinan had his studs up there

Read it was really precautionary and that they didn’t want to risk Leao continuing. Serie A is more important. Hopefully it isn’t bad.
Why can’t these guys play for themselves? A simple pass and we’re 2 goals up but everyone is trying to score instead of using their teammates.
Unlike last season, Fofana is actually shooting on target and showing good finishing. Puli also doing well; I’m liking Ricci and Estupinan. With a bit more lucky we should be leading at least 2-0 if not 3-0. Hopefully Rafa’s injury is not serious.

RLC was the boss in the midfield. Of all the good I have seen so far that stands out the most.
I think it is Ricci. RLC has to cover a lot less ground b/c Ricci has the 6 locked down
