FT: Milan 1-0 Lazio

PHEW! That almost ended in disaster for Milan, but the referee used common sense and didn’t award what would have been an incredibly silly penalty. Another 1-0 win for Massimiliano Allegri’s men too, which isn’t exactly surprising given the playing style. Top of the league!

102'
FREE-KICK TO MILAN!

The referee deems that Marusic committed a foul on Pavlovic BEFORE the handball! Would have been a shocking penalty to award anyway, so definitely the right call by the referee.

Red card for Allegri

The manager is sent off for interfering with the VAR check.

97'
VAR check for a penalty...

That would be so, so harsh…

96'

Lazio appealing for a handball but based on the replays, Pavlovic had it close to his body, and it wasn’t even stretched or anything.

90'

Five minutes added on.

90'
Yellow card for Ricci

Hard to see what exactly happened there but it’s a booking anyway.

82'
Second sub for Milan...

On: Ricci.

Off: Nkunku.

73'

Romagnoli is carded but Milan are calling for a red card, Saelemaekers was in a very good position…

65'
First sub for Milan...

On: Loftus-Cheek.

Off: Fofana.

64'
Yellow card for Gabbia

Rather harsh yellow card, even if his arm was in and area Castellanos’ face there.

63'

Leao is denied by the keeper, decent header but perhaps could have been better.

61'
You can't help but laugh...

Fofana does absolutely brilliantly to run from Milan’s half to the outside of Lazio’s penalty box, beating several players in the process. However, just as he’s about to shoot, he touches the ball with his other leg and completely misses.

55'

Fofana fires just wide from a decent position. He seems to have gained some confidence from the involvement in the goal.

52'
GOAL! RAFAEL LEAO SCORES! (Assist: Fikayo Tomori)

Our No.10 responds! Wonderful move by Milan, with Tomori making a run down the right flank before picking out Leao inside the box for a tap-in. Kudos to Fofana too for his pass to the Englishman. A simple but very effective attack, it must be said.

Milan 1-0 Lazio

Rafael Leao goal

We are back underway!

Let’s hope for better football in the second half, as the first 45 minutes were truly very poor from the Rossoneri.

HT: Milan 0-0 Lazio

Very poor first half from both teams, it has to be said, with many mistakes and few chances. Maignan made a fantastic save at the start of the game but aside from that, neither of the keepers were called into action.

45'

One minute added on.

42'

Good chance for Tomori on the volley, as Bartesaghi finds Nkunku and he flicks it it towards the Englishman.

40'

It’s been a rather poor half by Milan. They are struggling to make something useful happen in attack, with Leao and Nkunku failing completely so far. Oh, in case I forgot to say, Zaccagni is still on the pitch for Lazio.

33'

Zaccagni is down with an injury and the play is halted. Him getting subbed off would be a huge boost for Milan.

30'

Fofana has been winning the ball back a lot but he hasn’t been particularly good in possession, making it a frustrating display.

26'
Yellow card for Tomori

A pretty reckless challenge, truth be told, but it comes after the referee removed a corner for Milan so tempers are running high.

  1. so bad Estupido is not playing yet, needs him for the ‘clown show’

at least Kunku is also similar kind loll
    Lazio 2-0, or 2-2

      1. lmao, village dude estupido is still on the bench lol
He hasn’t shown up on the field yet, you are also waiting for him? haha ;D

  2. Milan players keep losing half of their footballing intelligence every time they try to attack. I know Lazio are overloading the central area and defend in droves; but Milan keep taking the worse decisions from the options given in atking positions. Zzzz…

  3. Fofana, what a clown. He’s so desperate to score himself, that he refuses to pass the ball to the teammates in positions where he must pass the ball.

  4. Allegri is passionate I’ll give him that. But he needs to take a chill pill lol. I get it, there was a lot of tension.

Glad the referees finally got a call right. That was no penalty. Marusic committed a prior foul. Dang that made me bite my nails.

  5. Well… we won. 1-0.

Not without drama… because this Milan side seems to love drama with Allegri at the helm. LOL.

We had the majority of chances. And that whole incident… glad the referees actually saw through it.

  6. 3 important points!!! two 1-0 wins back to back. Fofana heavily involved in both goals! Rough night for the fans having to watch the team suffer, but this is a good signal. winning when not playing really well!

  7. I’m a bit hammered here as I’ve been drinking since Wednesday but can anyone explain me why the ref added 13 minutes to the extra time ? Didn’t really seem valid to me.

    1. They spent some time debating that non-existent penalty, but the game really should have been called immediately after that decision. It was called for five minutes extra time…

      1. Yeah I did see the 5 extra minutes added but 13 is freaking excessive from what I can judge, Penalty wise I agree it was non existetnt and was screaming so loudly at my tv screen that I had to go out and puke 😀

    1. I think its his first one but when he joined us he was banned for 2 matches for his shenanigans last time he had a job.
