Seven minutes added on.
The Frenchman got a little bit too eager there trying to win back the ball.
Milan are hanging on by a thread here. Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s nerve-racking.
On: De Winter, Loftus-Cheek.
Off: Tomori, Fofana.
Tomori is struggling with his groin and might not be able to continue.
On: Leao, Athekame.
Off: Gimenez, Saelemaekers.
De Bruyne converts the penalty. Maignan went the wrong way.
Milan 2-1 Napoli
On: Bartesaghi.
Off: Pulisic.
The referee changes his decision from a yellow card to a red card after VAR check, as Estupinan made no attempt to play the ball.
Penalty to Napoli after a foul by Estupinan. Di Lorenzo was ready to slot it home and the left-back stopped him in his tracks. Could potentially be a red too.
No changes by Allegri, so it’s the same eleven players on the pitch. Let’s hope for a strong final 45 minutes.
Good first half from Milan, even if Napoli created some good chances towards the end. Obviously, Pulisic played a key role and deserves a lot of credit.
One minute added on.
Another very good chance for Napoli. Anguissa with a header from inside the box but he somehow fails to hit the target. Napoli are getting closer.
Wonderful pass from De Bruyne to Di Lorenzo, but luckily for Milan, he basically didn’t get a shot away there.
Possibly a penalty for Napoli, Tomori with a challenge on McTominay. Update: No penalty, there was contact but not enough.
Captain America! Pavlovic finds Fofana in the box after a powering run, and the Frenchman sets it up perfectly for the No.11. Composed finish and a slight deflection to help as well.
Milan 2-0 Napoli

Fofana fails to hit the target from a good position! He should have done better there, and he also had the option to square it.
Pavlovic connects with Modric’s corner but fails to hit the target. He had his back towards the goal, so it was difficult.
Maignan does well to deny two good Napoli efforts, poor moments in defence from Saelemaekers there.
What a start to the game! Absolutely fantastic run from Pulisic and an easy finish for the Belgian. Stunning, just stunning from the American.
Milan 1-0 Napoli

The game is underway! This is a big one for Milan, as a win would put them at the top of the standings. Adriano Galliani is in the stands too…
Christian Pulisic speaks to DAZN: “Fun is always key. I like this position, this role. We’re comfortable with this system.”
Paolo Scaroni speaks to Sky: “San Siro? Tomorrow marks the end of a long journey I began many years ago. I believe the City Council will make a wise decision tomorrow, a decision that is right for the two clubs and for Italian football. This is a crucial step that I hope will happen tomorrow.”
Max Allegri speaks to DAZN: “I had doubts about Pulisic, who wasn’t feeling well. We tested him this morning and he did well. He’ll take the field.”
Francesco Camarda bagged his first Serie A goal this evening, and in quite a spectacular fashion as well, with a 94th-minute equaliser

Selfish Fofana ffs
Captain America I salute you🫡
2-00 CAPTAIN AMERICA
Cool, 2×0!!! We’re playing very well at this moment, even Pavlovic is doing marvelous assists!
Yeah we look much better as a team
Oh you mean Pavlohimovic? LOL
Pulisic is so much class. I can’t get over how good his touch is. His composure and vision is also so good. We must sign a new contract and keep him as long as possible.
Camarda just scored his first professional goal in Serie A. Bittersweet that he’s bagged one just not in our Colours. Hopefully its the first of many to come.
Could have been 3 if Fofana passed to Saelemaekers.
3 more goals in the 2nd half with the introduction of Leao and Nkunku
Modric is a cat, my god!! Anything moves and he spots! What a champion!!
Great first half, we might not have been the team in most possession but I definitely think we are justly in front and could even have scored more than the 2 we got. What I really like is we have been like hawks over prey constantly putting pressure on them. If we can keep that up in the second half we might even be able to increase the score but we should stay calm and not become too cocky as the match is far from decided.
I believe that Allegri had some very similar wording at the halftime 🤣
Not seriously enough apparently. Give me a cattle prod and and airplane ticket and I’ll come down to Italy and instigate some proper focus in Estupinian.
🤣🤣🤣
Gimenez going too deep too many times. Don’t know if it’s instructions from Allegri
estupido !!!! lolll
anyone can score from there
Whoops RED Card zzzz
Fvck, red card for Estupinan… Goddamnit.
dummb dumbb lol
estupidoool
What in the name of Tom Henning Ovrebo is this travesty of VAR decision, red card for this really? This is not even a decent penalty let alone the red card, terrible terrible
Left back with a stupid move and a red card…
Sounds familier…
Estupinian what a freaking clown. Guess on the positive side we will see Bartesaghi get some minutes. Any player nowadays should know not to pull another players arm in the penalty box, unacceptable and now 2-1 and a man down.
red card for no sportmanship. should give double red lmao ugggly loll
what a stupid foul
Uff! Leao looks rusty. Would have done him a world of good to play alongside someone up top, but the red card
Red card for Pervis was very harsh I must say
Not really as he seemed to be pulling him in his arm with some force. Red card at least was fair to me.
Hope Tomori isn’t too serious, like maybe a week or two. Cos the squad is really thin. Otherwise we’d be bringing some futuro and primavera players soon
When we need a Gattuso. Modric plays like Gattuso.
Hopefully Tomori is not injured too badly. He’s been playing well and Juve are up next.
VAR rules are so inconsistently applied. There was a similar foul in the premier league this weekend and the player received a yellow. 8mins of ET???
Great, we grab a very solid victory!!!
FORZA MILAN!!!
MILAN IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Milan will never “be back” unless we win back to back CL finals + club world cups in my book. Otherwise its just stepping stones if anyone asks me.
Who watched allegri kick that ball🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And that look straight after lol
Funny stuff and laughed myself, well at least he kept his jacket on this time around 😀
3 Pts!!! Excellent win…with 10 men no less! Good game management by Allegri and overall good performance, all things considered….and against a very good Napoli team.
I guess we passed the test. And we passed an additional one we placed on ourselves(red card). This win will mean so much to team morale and chemistry, i believe Allegri is doing a great job.
VAR is an absolute joke. Estupinan should have not been sent off!
Nonetheless this team fought like warriors to preserve the win. There is a clear as day mentality difference.
You’d be blind not to see the way we play. It wasn’t an individual issue, but a mentality one. Allegri is a clear difference maker. I’m proud of this team even though it was nervy towards the end.
of course he should he ruined an open chance, red card. The ref might have chocsen to give the penalty and then disregard the action but overall a penalty kick and a red card. At least I wont complain as it seemed more than reasonable to me.
Agree 100% Goku, that was a very harsh red. But no matter, the team dug in and proved that even a man down against a very good opponent they can hang on for the win. Excellent result.
This resilience, this is what we missed. This is true teamwork. Great win lads!
It’s the team mentality that impressed me. Modric presence as a leader truly changed the team mentality. He unlocked everyone even Fofana looks good playing with him. Rabiot in my opinion reached a new height
Fofana is good period. He was one of the few decent players we had last season as well. His performances for France were always solid.
If it wasn’t for the stupid card. We’d keep another clean sheet.
Everyone wrote Milan off after the lost against Cremonense, 4 games later Everyone is considering Milan as title contenders.
Including me.
I was wrong.
Fully agreed. And if I recall, when Milan won a Scudetto with Allegri we lost the opening match. Maybe I’m getting old and misremembering things lol…
We did indeed, 11 yrs ago I think
we didn’t win a championship 11 years ago which would have been in 2014, we won one in 2011, we did nevertheless win a scudetto 11 years after we won the last one in 2022.
Was I at least right about the circumstances of that one in 2011?
quite frankly couldn’t remember myself but looked it up but my dear Goku you were not right 😛 AC Milan won their first match in the 2010/11 season against Lecce 4-0 at San Siro. Pato, Silva, Pato Inzaghi from the looks of it 😀 As I said though had to look it up though.
Milan-Lecce 4-0
I was a bit worried by what I saw from Leao. He still doesn’t know how to play like in defence as a striker. He couldn’t have run much more than 1.5 miles today. And most of is was from 2-3 runs when he got a breakaway. His fitness shouldn’t hinder him in those few minutes he got. It’s just a matter of mentality. I hope Allegri can change him into a harder working player. I think we lost a lot in defence when Gimenez went of for Leao. Or Maybe I’m too critical. I just want Leao to succeed, cause I don’t want him to get benched for not putting in the work in defence. I guess also that today wasn’t the best circumstances to judge how he will play as we were down to ten men.
Peter, Leao has just come back from injury and will take a few games to get his sharpness back. I don’t think anyone was expecting more than what we saw tonight. He is going to be a key player and Gimenez will likely struggle for playing time when Leao is match fit.
Wow, that’s how matches are won! Aside from avoidable red card it was a perfect performance. Another 3 points in the bag. Let’s go!
Excellent display by the whole team, but I must stress how Saelemakers is doing well nowadays, he is turning into a very good player. And a seasoned coach like Allegri really makes the difference.
He always was as he is an unstoppable engine with tecnique, also contributed in attacking areas, the same can be said about Pavlovic who basically created our second goal chance by mere force.
The live blog and commentary is too Milan-centric. We need the full picture
Too AC Milan sentric on an AC Milan site, sure thing what the hell did you expect 😀
A similar foul vs Man Utd this weekend was a yellow. VAR rules are supposed to be the same, but apparently the Italian ref has a different interpretation. Glad the team still closed the game out.
No, each league operates differently and in that detail is a huge issue with VAR. Even commentators from various national tv programmes aknowledge that as an issue. All leagues should completely align.
“All leagues should completely align.”
Thats what I was saying, but they don’t align. that is the problem.
