It’s official: the AC Milan Women have signed Dutch forward Chanté Dompig. Though the transfer had been in the works for a while, the transfer was not made official until earlier today.
Dompig will wear the #99 shirt, which evokes memories of another Milan forward who wore the same number. The forward is still recovering from an ACL injury and might not take the field immediately. Nonetheless, once she’s healthy, she should be a potent reinforcement for Milan’s attack.
She was born 2001 and – after taking her first steps on the football fields in the Netherlands – she moved to Italy to join Empoli where she has played the last two seasons. She earned the title of Best Young Player of the TimVision Women’s Serie A for the 2021-22 campaign.
She arrives at Milan on a permanent deal and has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2025, adding another piece to the project moving forward.
