AC Milan have confirmed a new agreement with the Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network (YES Network) over the screening of content on their channel.
A statement on the club’s official website confirms that YES Network will air hours of Milan content to its audience on a weekly basis in an attempt to try and continue to engage the Rossoneri’s American fanbase.
There will be news round-up style segments about the team plus full match replays of the latest Milan game. The former will feature a mix of ‘off the pitch’ content plus exclusive interviews with players and staff, old matches and content involving the Primavera and Women’s team.
The statement mentions that the club view the USA as ‘a strategically-important market’ and a country which has a ‘solid and loyal Rossoneri fanbase’. This was recently proved by a study conducted by international market research and data analytics YouGov, which found that Milan are the best-regarded Italian football club in the USA.
The agreement between AC Milan and the YES Network comes after RedBird Capital Partners announced that the takeover of the club has been completed.
