AC Milan’s probable line-up vs Verona: Ibra-Leao tandem returns, Bennacer out

By Nikita Fesyukov -

AC Milan will face Hellas Verona tomorrow afternoon at the San Siro in the next round of Serie A and will look to continue their positive run in 2020 since the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via milanlive.it), coach Stefano Pioli is set to bet on the 4-4-2 formation once again, with Gianluigi Donnarumma starting in goal and a four-man defence consisting of Conti, Kjaer, Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez in front of him.

In the middle of the field, the Rossoneri will have to deal with the absence of Ismael Bennacer, who is serving his suspension after receiving a yellow card against Brescia. Rade Krunic will take his place alongside Franck Kessie.

On the wings, meanwhile, Samu Castillejo has established himself as a starter and will once again feature from the first minute, while Hakan Calhanoglu will return to the starting line-up after coming off from the bench in the Coppa Italia showdown against Torino and scoring a brace. In the attack, Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao will form the striker partnership.
