Report: Acerbi and Theate now primary defensive targets for Milan

By Euan Burns -

Francesco Acerbi and Arthur Theate are now primary defensive targets for AC Milan this summer after missing out on Sven Botman, a report claims.

As has been reported by QS (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are now having to evaluate and settle on other defensive targets to make sure that they have enough quality depth to tackle the upcoming season.

One of the easier players to attain will be Lazio’s Acerbi because he is set to leave the Roman club this summer and would certainly be interested in moving to Milan.

He would offer some seniority to the back line as he is now 34 years old and could prove very useful when the fixtures start to pile up.

Bologna’s Arthur Theate is also an option. His move to Bologna has just been made permanent after a year on loan but at just 22 years old, he would be able to develop in a strong Milan team and provide cover in two positions.

  1. Nice work Redbird you let an actual talent like botman and you now want two players the one who scores own goals and he’s slow as heck and the other who gets red cards and he’s trash and too much Inexperienced

    1. At the end of the day I won’t be complaining if we get Malik Thiaw or Theate for around 8 mil, there’s no point in investing so much into a posting where the quality is already there, I do agree we need more depth to our defense but the quality is already there and proving to be extremely strong so why splash 30 Mil into a position which we are good in quality
