This summer, Yacine Adli was told what was going to happen at AC Milan without a chance being given to him to do differently.
With the funds from Tijjani Reijnders’ sale, Milan were going to revamp the midfield. However, there were options returning that could be considered; those, of course, were Adli and Tommaso Pobega. For the Italian, there was a bit of a chance. However, the same luxury was not given to his French teammate.

Last season, the midfielder fluctuated in popularity at Fiorentina, but still showed talent. For Massimiliano Allegri, though, there is no chance. So, he was informed that he was not needed at Milanello from the start.
Adli’s hopes
There have not been a lack of offers for Adli. After all, at 24-years-old, he still has a lot of his career left ahead. However, the right offer is yet to arrive at Casa Milan, at least in his mind.
As Gazzetta dello Sport write, the ideal is to prove himself under Allegri. Though, he will not be given this chance. He will not complain or kick up a fuss, he never has. Instead, he will see where the path takes him.
What is known, though, is that he has ambitions to stay within the European picture, hoping to play in one of the continents top footballing competitions, or at least be in the picture for them. This means that there is little chance of a move to Saudi Arabia, or Spartak Moscow.
Kid needs to move on for his own good. Even Russia or Saudia is better than Serie D with plumbers and amateurs …
Not Russia, the league is full of sanctions and there is a lot of problem doing transactions between Russia and European clubs. There is a reason why players like kvaratskhelia left the league. He is more than good enough for Serie A so I don’t know what this Serie D thing as to do with anything. 5 goals and 8 assist in 2.787 minutes. Reijnders have two more goal contributions in 3.132 minutes. Goal contributions aren’t everything but he is clearly good enough for the league.
he has been nothing short of a class act and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him.
I have always love this guy since his decision to give morata his number 7, even though he didn’t know he would eventually go on loan.
He is a class and born leader that I think we need on and off the pitch
Why tf are we not even giving him a chance at all. He showed he can be class as a backup option, and its not like we have a lot of cash to drop on a new mid anyway. We literally have no LB, no real RB, and 1 Striker. 3 positions that need signings, so we’re gonna have no money for another midfielder after jashari, why weaken us even further when we have a history of having 9 players injured at a time…?
That he isn´t good enough is one thing all coaches agree on so far. So the chance that there is merit to it is far higher than all the professionals being wrong.
If anything his position in the club has gotten worse, Pioli was the most open to him so far and he didn´t like his profile.
The treatment of Adli is shameful
Can someone please, please, please tell me why no team seems to want adli? Though not a star player, yet he always gives his 100% and more – is extremely loyal – and always does his very best.
I think it has something to do with his playing style. He’s an ancient player: he suits the football of 10 years ago or before.
He put in a lot of work to get up to speed and he still didn’t have a proper chance. He has the dedication. Why not keep him here?
This makes me lose respect for Allegri. At least give Adli a chance. I bet he would be up for the challenge and do everything to prove he can be an asset for the team in whatever the coach wants from him. But no… So sad about this.
Who be this?
There’s always been posters here who seem to love Adli. I never did (I mean, as a person and a class act, yes, but as a footballer, no). I think he is a very mediocre player. He had the occasional good game for Milan; it happens even for mediocre players. Several professional coaches are not interested; other clubs are not interested… still, some people here seem to think that he is good. Sorry, he is not.
Attitude-wise the kid is golden. But as a footballer, he’s just not good enough. I wish him well. He should try to play for some other league with lower standards, like in Ukraine or something. He is not Italian Serie A material, and has never been.
Oops, there’s a war in Ukraine, I forgot. So, not Ukraine, but some other league like that one. Say, Portugal outside of Benfica, Sporting, and Porto. One of the other teams.
He have better stats than the average midfielder in the league while not getting consistent game time. Maybe he is not good enough for the best teams in italy but he sure is good enough for mid table ones. What exactly makes you think he is not good enough for serie a?
