Lorenzo Lucca is one of the players that AC Milan have been linked to heavily. However, he could go elsewhere in Italy.
In the past few days, there has been a lot of talk about Massimiliano Allegri seeking a new striker this summer. With Santiago Gimenez not fitting his ideal, a new mould is required, and Lucca’s name has cropped up regularly.
However, there is a clear preference for someone else. Of course, that is Dusan Vlahovic, and there may be another reason as to why.
Deal already agreed?
A move for the Serbian striker is believed to cost in the region of €25-30 million this summer, which is certainly affordable for the club, if other deals go through. However, a move for Lucca could cost up to €50m, according to Claudio Anellucci, an agent who spoke to 1 Station Radio today, via Milan News.
“Lucca? I was among the first to say that he would go to Napoli and that he would go for a significant sum. I continue to believe what I said months ago. Not because I have a crystal ball or am a magician, but because I knew a few things.
“I knew that the Napoli directors had moved to London to speak with the Udinese owners, and from there I connected the dots. So yes, I continue to say that Lucca will go to Napoli, and also for a high sum, around fifty million euros.”
It is certainly difficult to see that price being paid by the Rossoneri, especially with the preference for Vlahovic.

Conte would turn him into a monster probably.
The question is how much longer will Conte stay at Napoli? Another year? Then what do all those players do under ADL?
Well I think we should care about Milan before wondering what will happen to other teams bro.
If I’m a player, the picture is clear. Milan doesn’t play in European competitions. Milan has a fourth coach in less than two years and it remains to be seen if Allegri is up to the task after his fiasco at Juventus and being jobless for a year. Tare is not a proven sporting director either, and it remains to be seen if he can convince players to come here the same way Maldini was. Also if I’m a player, I see how Milan is alienating its own star players, lying about contract extensions or forcing them out. The project is obviously to qualify for 4th spot only (and keeping all the parasites like Moncada, Zlatan, Scaroni, Kirovski, etc. on the payroll), not chasing for any trophy.
Milan was already failing at convincing players to come when there were competition from other clubs and now it seems like mission impossible. And we know what happens when the team is shuffled every six months because we experienced it for two years now. There is no team spirit.
So this mercato will probably bring only dudes that no other team is chasing. All the Lucca, Nuñez, Leoni won’t wear la maglia rossonera that’s for sure. Good thing is that expectations are so low now that we can only be pleasantly surprised. And for the fans who are more transfers enthusiasts than interested in sporting results, it’s a golden age. The MLB/moneyball-NBA model.
For the umpteenth time Zlatan is not on Milan’s payroll, he doesn’t work for Milan, he works for Redbird.
Can’t people just get this?
He is a consultant and Senior Advisor to Redbird, is this too much to understand?
You’re right, my bad. Such a relief, he’s doing damages for free. Hiring his friend Kirovski, expelling Abate because he didn’t play his son who received a generous offer. The point was that this club is a mess because the wrong persons are involved, Zlatan included.
For 50mil certainly not. I’m sure you can find other solutions for that sum of money, unless Lucca can guarantee +20 goals a season. Difficult mercato to call with all these speculations making the rounds…Some good younger prospects out there that really deserve a look in, but I can also understand the anxiety to hit the ground running and not bank on untested players at this level.
Did he steal a teammate’s penalty and celebrate the goal himself? 🤣🤣🤣
Why do smaller teams in serie a play hard ball like this? Lucca isn’t a starter for italy, he’s not even a starter for udinese. I wouldn’t spend more than 30m for him. At that price gk out and get sesko.
50 million? No way Napoli is paying 50 million.
I like Lucca, but anyone paying over 25 million is massively overpaying.
Retegui scored almost 30 goals this season and he isn’t worth 50 million let alone a striker that scored half that.
Last year Atalanta paid around 20 m for Retegui who was coming of a season similar to Lucca’s.
I firmly blame Man Ubited for this nonsense. 2 years in a row they paid massive money for 2 strikers in serie A who could barely get close to 10 goals a season. Now every team with a semi competent striker wants 50mil for them. This guy is maybe worth half that at best
Could have signed him in winter for 10m less than the striker they purchased and no longer want…
Who says we don’t want Gimenez, Tuttosport?
Avoid at all costs.
Look at his face. This is going to be the bust of the year.
Lucca even not a starters at udinese, how come the price it’s 50m ? Haha.. if you go to Napoli, Lucca only for bench warmer. They have lukaku and raspadori.
These agents are talking out their backend. He did not put up stats to justify that price tag. guys who can score nearly 25 to 30 goals have a 75 million euro release clause..
You would have to be gullible or out your mind to get anywhere near that valuation. 20 million max is what he can go for.
He’s just trying to market the player.
He’s not beyond €30m.
But He’s a very competent striker who will absolutely blossom at Milan. Definitely worth a buy.
Any team is free to define the value of their players, but 50 mil for a striker who scored 20 (8+12) goals for two seasons (70 games)? Seriously? Only happen if he were an EPL player, or targeted by EPL clubs, where EPL clubs tend to pay overprice for a season wonder player (and Lucca still cant be considered a season wonder anyway).
Imho, his value is stll max 20 mil atm. It would be another story if he has been consistently scored 15+ goals per season for 2+ seasons, or 25+ goals in 1 season.
But I dunno if the news is reliable or not anyway. Maybe just cheap gossip, or just marketing strategy to raise his value.
Thankfully not coming to Milan…I’d rather have Immobile as a starter
