Agent happy with Kalulu’s rise to prominence: “We expect him to stay at Milan for a long time”

The agent of AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu has claimed that he expects his client to stay at the club for a long time after an impressive first two appearances.

The Rossoneri acquired the young Frenchman from Lyon in the summer having snapped him up on a free transfer thanks to the charm offensive of Paolo Maldini.

There were some eyebrows raised when he was named in the starting line-up for Thursday night’s win over Sparta Praha as a centre-back – given he is more of a natural right-back – but he helped keep a clean sheet.

He was then rushed off the bench for his first ever Serie A appearance on Sunday as Matteo Gabbia went down injured during the opening minutes of the 2-2 draw with Parma, and he put in an assured performance again at centre-back.

MilanNews spoke to Kalulu’s agent Eduardo Marinho about his client’s rise to prominence at Milan.

“He was happy with his debut in the league, but obviously sad for the result against Parma. Pierre is a very ambitious boy, he wants to win every game,” he said.

“He feels the confidence of the coach and of all the Milanello staff. Will he stay at Milan or leave? In football anything can happen, but we expect him to stay at Milan for a long time, he wants to participate with the rest of the team to win titles.”
