Igli Tare is already working at the offices of Casa Milan with Geoffrey Moncada to establish potential targets, and Federico Chiesa is one.

Tare, together with the rest of the management, will be tasked with building a team and a squad that will have to rebound after finishing eighth this season, meaning no European competitions for 2025-26.

As Calciomercato.com report, the work to be done is huge, both incoming and outgoing. In attack, Tammy Abraham should go along with Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, while Lorenzo Colombo (returning from Empoli) will certainly leave too.

Meeting planned with Ramadani

Time waits for nobody and Milan cannot afford to waste any more. During the week, Tare and Moncada have planned an important meeting with agent Fali Ramadani for a discussion over Luka Jovic, whose contract expires soon.

The Rossoneri management will also gather information on Chiesa’s situation in view of a total restyling of the attacking department. The former Juventus player is no longer part of Liverpool’s plans and is destined to change clubs before next season.

In principle, there is an opening from the Rossoneri to negotiate the conditions of the Chiesa deal with Liverpool. The preferred formula would be a loan with an option to buy that would be set at no more than €15m.

The main issue remains the salary of €7.5m net per season that the former Juventus man receives from the Premier League champions. This is where Ramadani comes into the equation, but to resolve the issue of wages and perhaps to help push Liverpool for Chiesa’s exit.

  1. Selling leao for capital gain and loan chiesa but hefty wage, are they gambling again and dunno if it’s worked out.

  2. I was the biggest Chiesa fan when he was in his prime. But, he’s a shell of himself now, he’s always hurt. Always looking for the bargain…

  3. “The former Juventus player is no longer part of Liverpool’s plans”.

Was he ever part of their plans? The man has played 400 more minutes for Liverpool than me.

15 million transfer fee, including bonuses, with Chiesa agreeing to cut his salary in half and you have a deal, otherwise there are many other options out there.
    7.5 mil a season?
Another forward who gets paid 7+ mil a season that can’t score 10 goals a season. So many overrated bums in todays football.

    1. This. I’d rather splash out a little bit more on Orsolini. Not that he’s the greatest option out there but if the RW needs to be Italian, Orsolini is the one I’d go for. Definitelty not Chiesa (unless it’s a free loan and we’d still get another RW just in case).

    2. Overrated or just players that have made some terrible transfer decisions which have seen their careers interrupted.

We see it time and time again. Players move and struggle to recreate the form at a new club.

He should’ve stayed at Fiorentina. Fiorentina actually had the bones of a great side but they tried to wheel and deal. They’ve long spent the money they made in Chiesa, Bernardeschi and Jovetic and all those three players saw their careers nosedive after they left.

  4. We could have get Chiesa in the summer for less on a lower sallary. Why go for him now? Get Ryan Cherki if Leao is leaving and move Pulisic on the left. Plus Salamakers and Chuk as back ups.

      1. He is valued at 35mil, we plan to sell some players well beyong that, so i don’t see why not mate. We have the money for it.

        1. Because he’ll have UCL clubs chasing him with larger chequebooks – rumours in the UK are that Man City want him to replace Grealish. I can’t see it happening in our current situation sadly.

  5. Chiesa is a long-term injury victim. Liverpool are absolutely desperate to get rid. Milan would be idiotic in the extreme to sign him and pay a big wage. But I bet they will anyway!

  6. I agree that Rayan Cherki should be a target of ours for the AM position. We have tried multiple players at AM out of necessity but none come close to 20+ assists per year. If Reindeers is to be sold we could use the proceeds to buy Cherki and have enough for Ricci. Addition through subtraction. Sell TJ and upgrade at two positions in the midfield and move on to the next position requiring an improvement.

  7. Tricky…. Was a time I really liked what I saw from Chiesa. Could become another Origi…. Overpaid, injury prone and an individual who the parent club doesn’t want.

  8. This is some of the worst news that could happen. Chiesa is washed up, and no wonder he only played a combined 85 minutes for them. I think a better option would be ngonge from napoli

  9. As an Italy fan I’ll always be grateful and who knows he might have a renaissance.

Look at Pulisic. From an injury ravaged, stalling career to a rebirth at Milan.

Admittedly the Pulisic’s of the world rarely work out but when they do it’s a thrill to see players rediscover their form. Give me that over some imagined ‘ceiling’.

  10. If we buy Chiesa we nothing have to do next season at Italy. First transfer need be some who will change things at club. Buying Chiesa we are dump and we can expect again 10 place.
Many betters young players out and we thinking about some idiot, who choose Juventus not us at past.

  11. Think that tare’s first job is not getting chiesa BUT ENSURING THAT TIJJI STAYS WITH MILAN.

WHY SELL OUR BEST PLAYER? That is crazy.
