The agent of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic has claimed that he is sure his client can perform at a bigger club such as AC Milan or Napoli, a report claims.
Speaking during an interview with Sportitalia (via Milan News), Karsten Rickart was understandably asked about Samardzic who is being heavily linked with a move to a bigger Serie A team.
He has been one of the best performers for Udinese during a mixed campaign for the team, so many top sides such as Milan and Napoli are following him closely.
The Serbian midfielder is just 21 years old but he has shown superb skill in the latter half of the season, grabbing five goals and four assists in Serie A.
Talking about his season in a general sense, Rickart said: “If you look at his time at Udinese so far, you can see how quickly he is improving. This season he has scored five goals and made four assists, those are very good numbers indeed. Laki has become one of the most interesting players in Serie A. In his first season he didn’t play much, he had time to acclimatise, yet he was able to score two goals and make two assists.”
When asked about whether he could make the step up to a Champions League-level side, the agent of the midfielder said: “As I said, he is still young and has great potential. But on the other hand he has also already shown what he is capable of. To be a regular starter in Serie A, one of the best leagues in Europe, against great teams and players, is not a given.
“Especially at his age and with Udine being his first step abroad. And he has had great performances against those teams as well, which shows that he can compete at that level. He enjoyed an excellent football education at renowned clubs, where he proved himself from an early age. With his style of play, his intelligence and his ability and desire to grow more and more, I am sure he can also prove himself at a higher level.”
