Agent of 17-year-old Milan target confirms ‘very high interest’ in his client

By Nikita Fesyukov -

While the transfer market has been closed for more than a month, the Milan management is constantly at work to reinforce the squad at Stefano Pioli’s disposal.

And even though the senior squad is the priority of Maldini and Massara, they are also keeping a close eye on the most interesting youngsters in circulation, looking to strengthen the youth sector of the Rossoneri.

A player targeted for the future is reportedly Cesena’s Tommaso Berti, who is collecting his first senior minutes for the Bianconeri in Serie C.

And after speculations from the media, there are now also indirect confirmations coming directly from the agent of the 17-year-old midfielder, Angelo Rea.

“He is more mature and calm than his peers. I think it is useless to mention names at this time. There are observers every Sunday, even from abroad. He is tied to Cesena and the club will give the goa ahead for any negotiations. Everything in its time,” he told TuttoC.com (via milanlive.it).

Rea is pretty clear that he wants the player to concentrate only on Cesena and his growth and not get distracted by rumours about big clubs following him.

“Transfer market news are here and it is good, but it is not the time to give them importance. The interest in the boy is very high, but Tommaso is now only thinking about Cesena and about growing more.

“If a big club wants to invest in him, we will have o find a solution that allows him to play with continuity against adults, in Cesena or elsewhere. It would be a mistake to let him go back to the Primavera,” Rea concluded.

Thus, Milan and other clubs will continue to monitor Berti in the coming months and it remains to be seen if there will already be any offers this January.
