Agent of Arsenal regista breaks silence on rumours of imminent AC Milan move

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has spoken out about his client’s future amid recent links with a move to AC Milan.

The Rossoneri have been sporadically linked with a move for Elneny by numerous outlets over the last couple of months, but the rumours seem to have intensified in the past few days.

Speaking to Sada Al Balad TV (via Goal.com) on Thursday, the player’s father Nasser Elneny claimed that his son is in advanced talks with Milan, who have have renewed their interest in his son.

Despite this, it was then reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport that Rossoneri director Zvone Boban has denied the rumours of the potential arrival of Elneny in January.

In addition, Nicolo Schira added that the Diavolo were offered the chance to sign the 27-year-old, who is currently on loan at Besiktas.

Nonetheless, Tuttosport believe that Elneny is one of three midfield targets for Milan in January, the other two being Genk’s Sander Berge and Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka.

However, when speaking to the Daily Mail Elneny’s representative – Christian Emile of Base Soccer – poured cold water on the speculation.

“The rumors are a pleasure because they explain that Mohamed is doing well but he is thinking only of doing good to Besiktas in his loan period,” he said.
